It's the first version I heard of Lost at Sea, back then when I first got into Eisley. I don't hate it, but I don't like it. It's just not Lost at Sea. The demo and the album version are a hundred times better.

I kinda liked the jazzy vibe at the beginning, but the heavy metal treatment from then on just doesn't work at all! Sad

Confused I always thought it sounded like the producers were going for Beach Boys meets Bjork, cause it sounds like something Mark Bell would have done for Dancer In the Dark unless the version on the media player isn't what you're talking about and there's another remix I don't know about???

Heavy metal, whaaaaaat? Confused What metal band sounds like that? hehe. The chorus always reminds me of a Phil Spector Christmas song with the jingle bells and reverb. The rest of it with the fake strings and harps and electronic drums sounds ok. I kinda like it. Some bands release singles with 3 or 4 remixes from other people included as extra goodies. It's not right for them to put it on the album if the band didn't like it or have anything to do with it though.

Mr. Pine is that mp3 taken from a cd or from a webpage. The bitrate is high but the sound quality is pretty bad. Just wondering if that's how it really sounded on the cd.

I don't think it's terrible.
It is a little too empty, but the regular version is one of the weakest songs on RN. It's at least nice to see an attempt at doing something different with it, even though it didn't work out too well.
I would also be interested to see what opinions would have been expressed about the song in this thread had it not been pointed out the band had nothing to do with it.

I don't remember where I got it. I didn't get it from the website, so I am guessing the cd (?)

the cd is a cdr (well it has a purple back anyway) so maybe the copy they sent wasnt the best.

I have that promo. Bought it for the remix but I hardly listen to it. I only listen to the Room Noises version of Lost at Sea.

I liked it, too. It was nice for something different. Everyone talks about how bad it sucks and blah blah blah, but I did like it. I thought it was a fairly good remix, not amazing, but definitely better than a ton of remixes out there. (I mean in general, not other Eisley songs.)

I just don't understand why everyone freaked out. Just because it isn't perfectly "eisley" doesn't mean it isn't enjoyable. I would think a remix is supposed to reach a different audience anyway...
