I work at a DQ Grill & Chill and we play Midlake and Fleet Foxes all the time, so, maybe one day we will play Eisley. Not to get off subject or anything but is anyone else in LOVE with Fleet Foxes. They are soooooooo FU*&%*G EPIC!!!! I first heard Fleet Foxes probably five years ago or so, when they were called The Pineapples. Their sound was amazing, it was like a mixture of The Zombies and The Shadows or something. They eventually changed to that folksy choral thing they do now right before they got signed, which I don't really like as much, sadly. I haven't heard their whole album, though, so maybe there's something on there that will bring me back. |

Unfortunately, their old, old stuff is unavailable. It's possible the people who still have the songs is the band itself (hopefully they kept them.) They recorded a self released EP that kind of had a transition sound from when they were going from "The Fleet Foxes" to just "Fleet Foxes." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuBC-Q0XuVU "She Got Dressed." Kind of an old song, but a bit different. Less twangy guitar, which was my favorite part of their old sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr9tF2OM9pQ "So Long to the Headstrong." Way old song, one of the first I'd heard, but it has been changed so much it's unrecognizable. I think the words are the same, and most of the melody, but it's much slower with different instrumentation. Think The Strokes, but better with Hank Marvin playing guitar. Thanks for adding the links from the Fleet Foxes! I think (well, know) that I like their old sound more. I have the album, but never got into it really... About Eisley in public places...I may have heard them in Bath and Body works. Either I did, or a friend told me that they did. I know there was some report. I still keep listening when I hear similar music/bands in the background at stores. |

You can get the Firefox add on called DownloadHelper and download the mp4 and convert it to mp3 from the youtube page. The add on will even convert it for you. |
