Stacy is collaborating with artist Danny Roberts and writer Sophie Ward to write music for a collaborative art project. Looks like it's even going to be published! "The Siren Who Loved by Danny Roberts, Sophie Ward and Stacey Dupree. The Siren project is a collaborative concept begun by Roberts, based in Los Angeles. Roberts illustrations have provided the foundation of inspiration for this haunting love story about a man driven across the ocean for the hand of a deadly and yet illustrious woman. The project is built out of multiple and varied artistic contributions, all building towards a final installation which will take the spectator on the journey of the story through Roberts' choice of imagery, Duprees audio and Ward's written word. Upon completion The Siren will be printed in its full entirety by Paper Castle Press." http://papercastlepress.com/ --> Future Titles From Danny's Blog: "P.s. Stacy Dupree Sent me the first 5 song demos for up our coming Siren Project ... needless to say this is all i've been listening to. the songs are Brilliant! if you guys aren't familiar with the band that stacy is in, Eisley, check them out! but yea i'm really excited. i can't wait till this project is done and you all get to hear the music ready the story and see the art.... i hope i haven't given too much away... hahah" You can visit his blog here: http://igorandandre.blogspot.com/search/label/The%20Siren%20Project Can't wait to see how it turns out! With The Siren Project and Perma on the horizon it looks like 2009/2010 will be an interesting year for side projects! BTW, here's some of Danny's artwork (of Stacy)
EDIT: Thanks to SYP for pointing this one out!
"This is a picture I did for my friend Stacy DuPree. I drew her as a siren for inspiration for this up coming project we're working on." _________________ goes down easy |

Sweetness! Sounds interesting! And I like the name of the project. _________________ "I cannot discuss your verses; for any attempt at criticism would be foreign to me. Nothing touches a work of art so little as words of criticism." -- Rainer Maria Rilke |

Anything with "music by Stacy DuPree" attached will capture my interest. _________________ http://www.twitter.com/drstrangeblog http://www.last.fm/user/getinline I can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read. |

Bump-Its! I talked with Danny a few months ago and he said it's still happening, it's just taking a while. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R.
