Maybe I'm a little out on a limb here and feel free to correct me at any time. So it's pretty widely known among grey's anatomy fans that the episodes are normally named for song titles. Last night's episode was titled "Invasion" and that piqued my interest. I googled "Invasion song" and Eisley was the only result to really turn up. Barring any kind of correction from abc.com or the writers of Grey's, I do believe a "woohoo!" is in order. Let's hear it! Woohoo! _________________ guitarfreak217 wrote: Everyone, listen to Leigh. I had no idea about the episode title/song title thing since I've never watched the show. So is there anywhere that mentions which song each episode was titled after? I can't find anything. But if it IS titled after the Eisley song then that's pretty awesome. Now they just need to actually play some Eisley in an episode! "Ambulance" anyone? _________________ |

It used to be mentioned on abc.com but they've completely changed the site around. Hmmm... The episode just aired last night so maybe we should give it a few days.` _________________ guitarfreak217 wrote: Everyone, listen to Leigh. I'd be willing to give a much bigger "woohoo!" if Grey's had used the song itself in the episode. That show has done a lot for Brandi Carlile's career. princesstripandfall wrote: I only watch it for Christina/Owen now Owen's the guy Kevin McKidd plays, right? The fact that he's on that show is almost enough to interest me in yet another medical drama, but the fact that he plays an American balances it out. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

The show has done a lot for a lot of peoples' careers, music-wise. Snow Patrol blew up here in the states after they used Chasing Cars. The Fray got a whole lot bigger with their use of How To Save A Life. Ingrid Michaelson has gotten bigger and bigger with her songs used on Grey's. Any time a song is used on there, its popularity on iTunes skyrockets. Whether you like the show itself or not, it's got some pretty awesome tunes. If Eisley was played on there...wow. That would be terrific. |

Honestly, the minute I heard The Valley, I saw it in a preview or an ending of a Grey's episode. It would fit so perfectly. And Invasion is also an Iron Maiden song, which sounds more likely. Kidding, of course. The woman who picks the songs for each show did the OC and a bunch of other shows that have made artists popular. I could definitely see her digging Eisley. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandra_Patsavas |

I thought a majority of the Invasion references was to the book/maybe movie which would also tie the Eisley song to it all. I never check GA episode titles so I didn't know about the song titles but I know OTH do it and they use them well. But I could see Ambulance being used as a background song for a break up moment - talking to you Alex and Izzie ugh |
