EXACTLY.

WB should:
-Get Eisley onto a closing montage type thing on Gossip Girl (which is actually a hot bed for breaking musicians.)
-MAKE MORE MUSIC VIDEOS. This is their biggest failure, if you ask me.
-Get the band onto one of those pseudo-indie movie soundtracks that hipsters just eat up (Away We Go, 500 Days of Summer, Whip It, etc.)

The band should:
-Make an extremely cohesive album packed wall-to-wall with solid songs that's not overproduced (which is easily in their reach if everything falls into line properly)

I mean, WB isn't totally effing up. They got the band on Conan, The Hills, Fuse, and they were on the Six Flags TVs for a solid two years. If all of the above happen and they still don't blow up, the public just don't want them... or, er, "aren't ready for them."

the valley may be the most mainstream type song on the EP, but i can't see it in any dramas, i think ambulance would work much better (imagine a break up scene or in some crime show and a main character gets shot). i mean, the valley might be great for radio, but i just can't see it working in something like gossip girl.

it's not a drama, its a teen drama.
completely different animal. Laughing

Only 3 of the cast can actually act, and most of the storylines are ridiculous. But, they're beautiful, the music is okay, and the wardrobe for that show costs something like $24 million dollars.
(no, really)
so I can't not watch it.

You don't need mainstream attention to be a successful band. I've been saying this all along and it sounds like they've figured it out.

I hope WB breaks the contract if this album flops. What a blessing in disguise. Yes they will have to pay for everything. (merch, records, etc.) But being on a budget forces you to strip down to the basics as a band and focus on what you're really good at. Eisley doesn't need to tinker with fancy producers or orchestras or crazy recording equipment. And you keep all the sales profit![/i]

The Valley should be the theme song for The Valley.

I liked the OC, especially the first 2 seasons. I watched the first couple of episodes of Gossip Girl. It didn't seem like the OC. The characters had no depth, the show had no heart, no soul, no good in it. I didn't give it much of a chance because I just can't bring myself to watch that one arrogant d-bag, I can't stand that kid. Did he ever get somekind of redeeming value to him or is he the same flat character?

Dan, or Chuck?
Dan= rich people suck, im so much better cause i live in brooklyn

Chuck=lover of lavender, plaid, and suspenders..."I'm Chuck Bass

The OC was 10x more amazing than Gossip Girl could ever hope to be. Laughing Everwood is still my favorite of that era though.

I'm sorry, but if I had a teenage kid, I would not let them watch that show.

You could have said the same about Luke after the first half of season 1 of the OC. That said, I've never seen Gossip Girl, so I have no idea.
