So the first version of Marvelous Things I heard was the Marvelous Things EP version. I like this version more than the Room Noises version.
There are very few differences, but I just think the voices sound much better in the EP version.
So, what version you like most, Room Noises version or EP version??

The Room Noises version, I believe, is the one they use on the video, which I really like, so I'll go with that one! Smile

To be honest, I really can't tell the difference except for the outro.

depends on when you saw it.

the video was originally made with the EP version.

then the WB re-released it with the Room Noises version.

Now, the one you buy on itunes and all that, is the RN one.

I have both on my computer. I dont mind sharing the old one if no one cares.

room noises, the production and mixing is better. better vocals, and the harmonies are better written. stacy's harmonies in the chorus is slightly different in the chorus, but it's not all that noticeable unless you know how to listen to music. it sounds better and more thought out then the ep version

Definitely the Room Noises version.

Now for Many Funerals - I love the original live version and I'm not real fond of the release on Combinations.

Also I LOVE the rerecording of Sun Feet. That's way better than the really raw recording that was out prior.

I love the EP version better. I think Stacy's vocals sound better on the verses. I've always been able to tell a difference between them. When I listen to RN, I always jump to the EP version of MT and then back to Brightly Wound to finish the album. Can't help it.

I'm highly indifferent, especially since the only differences are the voices and mix.

Wasn't there supposed to be another version with like "radio sprinkles" or something? It was mentioned in this interview (Last paragraph):

But yeah, I'm going to have to go with the EP version on this one.

Man, the nuances you all are picking up on, I thought I could hear before, but now that I'm playing them back to back, and then comparing section by section, there is no real superiority to me. Maybe a little more compression on the RM version, and a slightly altered mix, but it's a stalemate if you ask me.

it is an m4v file. and it is not the best quality. i got it a long time ago from the original orangegoldandgreen site.

i think it was even before it was called that. back on the original original fan site.

Interesting. The EP version of this would have handily won this poll a couple of years ago.
