when i lived in Tenn i strongly considered seeing them in Nashville at the ryman, but remember thinking tics were too high then, too. i want to say they were $40 then.

that sucks. maybe more will come up since there is still some time. dallas isn't sold out. i have to say, that video really hyped me up some and i like the song more now. now i reaaaalllllllyyyyyy kinda want to see them even though it's almost $50. i know several people who are fans, but getting them to agree to go is another story.

My brother and his SO caught the show in Austin NYE-
Liked it a lot (they mostly went for her though- I think he was more interested in White Ghost Shivers).

I never listened to them much- just remember thinking that The Distance might be the most stabbingly, pitifully depressing song ever written. And I've listened to a fair amount of morbidly depressing stuff.

I have Prolonging the Magic but I don't know if it's my favorite of their albums since I haven't heard all of them. As far as songs, The Distance is awesome, Never There too and I like the Theme to Chuck er Short Skirt Long Jacket.

Can you name which of those are covers without using the internet or cheating in any way?

I saw someone on the internet say they got their's 2 days ago. Maybe I will get mine today.

sad songs and waltzes, isn't that willie nelson? and I think Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps, cause it's so authentic. As for the the others, I don't think they are. And yes, this is from immediate recall, zero research.

good job!

other covers - i will survive, guitar man (not that great imo), war pigs, and tons of classic country most or all as b-sides. before i got motorcade i thought jolene was a dolly parton cover.
