My best friend is getting married in April and, though I'm not the best singer or keyboard player, I really want to sing this to them on their special day. Can someone help me with the chords? I would reeeaaally appreciate it. _________________ greatgood wrote: I wish it was possible to youtube dreams. |

http://64.235.33.126/eth/lp3.html#be_kind The second set sounds about right to me. That Eb#5 is a pain, and it took a lot of practice for me to be able to play it in time. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

The Eb#5 (I guess you could call it D# augmented) doesn't seem to make sense in the music. I haven't listened to the voice leading carefully, but I think B7 makes a lot more sense. It's acting as a secondary dominant chord to Em (hence the pull of D# to E). Plus, B7 is a lot easier to play. _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! MAKECOLDPLAYHISTORY |

Right, the chord is definitely Bm7 with a D-sharp as the bass note (first inversion). Also, the chords for the verses aren't quite right -- all the chords are 7 chords. So the verses go: Em7 -- Am7 -- G7 (G major with an F-sharp note) -- and C7 (with a B-natural note in there). _________________ Classical guitar cover of "Combinations": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkIpDhvbd2o |

i thought G7 was with an F note. Not F#? On guitar G7 is played (from bottom up) 1 0 0 0 2 3 The one is F EDIT I guess by reading your thing more closely, you meant Gmaj7 which would then be F# right? I know sometimes guitar and piano chords get a little different when you mention majors _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing... Exactly -- I should have written Gmaj7 and Cmaj7. (Stacy's songs have lots of major-7 chords in them.) _________________ Classical guitar cover of "Combinations": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkIpDhvbd2o |
