Sigh, Eisley never comes near me except when I'm at school or traveling or something. Cover art creeps me out.

Yeah, New York! I am incredibly happy they are coming into the city this time around. I already have two friends who have given hesitant yeses/strong maybes to going with me. I think I can convince a third to come.

So does this EP mean the death of The Valley album promotion post The Valley (song) video?

I just listened through the album the other day, and man, wouldn't Be Kind make a good single?

Get someone to do a semi-cheesy video where someone gets a diamond engagement ring and then they decide it is best to go for a simpler ring and donate the money to charity or something, and then show the band working in a homeless shelter. Get a director that does Adele or country music videos. Then get the video to crossover to CMT, etc.. Then the song hits TV, movies, rom/com fare. Royalties. Boom. DuPrees instant millionaires (split 5 ways)! Wink

Seriously, seriously good song though. Not really sure what the lyrics are about, just running with the "I'll buy you a diamond if you want me to..."

I always assumed it was an ode to her blossoming relationship at that time.

Yep. I always thought it was about Darren. I mean, makes sense and all. "And this is finally for real." Boom. And then they got married.

Darren is a freaking lucky fellow to have that song written about him cause it's easily in my top favorite Eisley songs.

Only question for you, Bigideas is: Do you know it's Christmastime at all? Rolling Eyes

I was actually disturbed and mostly annoyed that Berry and Puckerman, both Jewish, would make a biggish deal about Christmas, though I guess even Jewish people might make a little fuss over another Jewish guy's birthday. But it did prompt me to youtube Judy Garland's 1963 Christmas special which I found interesting and entertaining.

now as to that Star Wars Holiday special, that's a whole 'nutha level!

In 1978 George Lucas made baby Jesus cry. From Wikipedia: David Hofstede, author of What Were They Thinking?: The 100 Dumbest Events in Television History, ranked the holiday special at number one, calling it "the worst two hours of television ever."

To be fair, even George thought it was shite. But that was 1978 George; 2008 George would be thinking of ways to market Itchy plush toys.
