I don't think Alva Leigh sounds anything like Stacy. Eisley's irreplaceable and can't really be matched it what they do. That's why I love them. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R. Kelly's shower. It's a golden world. Trying to "work" a band can be humiliating. Thin-skinned folk need not apply. Meanwhile, remember the On Cue blow-up??? The Producer's GF who posted here defending him Owlrika was in what I consider one of the better Eisley-sounding bands I've heard, and in all her arguing she didn't promote it once. http://www.myspace.com/troubadormusic (crashed the shockwave player on Chrome, so I switched to safari and it played fine) _________________ yup, that's my name. I often wonder what it must feel like for the band to hear a group like The Band Perry or some of Lady Antebellum's songs--songs that sound like they could have been their outtakes, yet are multimillion sellers for other people. that must be disheartening. then again, Minipop sure went away quite quickly, so there's that... _________________ "Die Sonne scheint noch" -- Sophie Scholl <3 <3 <3 |

If there was a single singer on this planet that sounded like Stacy it would be Alva. I like her music, to be honest. Very Louisiana southern. Nope. I think she sounds absolutely nothing like her. I can't hear a similarity at all. I'm very good at vocal recognition though. Like, weirdly good. I'll be out with people and can hear a literal snippet of a song and only hear one word and know who it is right away if I know who the band or artist/singer is. My friends hate it because I'm sort of ADD anyways so it's the equivalent to hell for them. I would say that The Honey Trees are the closest thing to Eisley around. They're not exactly like them, and I like that, but THT's are similar. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R. They don't think it's a band that's similar, they actually think it is Eisley. |
