You have every right to! I never liked any of the electro/new wave+ disco revival stuff & those bandss all sounded much better just rocking to me (killers, sam endicott's band forgot their name, but the switched to rock for their follow up called the Sun & the Moon?, the rapture, longwave) I was surprised I liked Sad as much as I do cause it made me think of that sound. Credit the chorus being so excellent _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. What happens in vegas should stay in Vegas, never to be heard from again, save for WYWY Jk ithey are a talented group of musicians with questionable stylistic choices & a lead singer who is the Nicholas Cage/ Joanna Newsom of modern rock vocalists, with Antony a close second Back to sucre' I would really like for Jeremy to harmonize vocally with Stacy, that would be a nice touch. Harkening to both their work with Sleeping at Last. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. Are any Dallas people going to the Sucre CD release show at Club Dada on April 24th? http://dadadallas.com/2011/06/10/tues-apr-24th-sucre-stacy-king-of-eis ley-darren-king-of-mutemath-cd-release/ _________________ "Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it." ~ C.S. I think the best thing about having Jeremy/Darren on board is that they are both SO TALENTED in their own rights, and the full complexity of all the musicianship and stuff in the songs takes a while to sink in. That's why I'm so excited for this album. "WWWY" was a little bit--okay, this is a good pop song, and I love Stacy's voice so I'm happy--but now I genuinely kind of LOVE it because there's so much to listen for. Sorry, ranting, I don't actually know if I just made a point or not. I don't know if you made a point either, but I agree with everything you said. _________________ |

I can't wait but the clip of "No Return" is really hitting the spot. I remember loving it when they played it last year. This is gonna be my favorite album of 2012. I can almost guarantee it. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. Kelly approves of peeing in the shower. The world is R. Kelly's shower. It's a golden world. Very, very nice. It sounds like they absolutely nailed what they were going for. Say something sounds like it could have potentially been an Eisley song, I think. When Stampede started, I thought it sounded a bit Sundays redux (not that that's would be terrible), but Stacy's phrasing is completely different. This album is going to be a serious piece of work, definitely. I haven't been keeping up with interviews and stuff much; Have they said how they divide the writing? |

MIND BLOWN. I don't know how I'm going to handle this amount of amazingness in one album. Chemical Reaction and Say Something sound like real gems. Stampede is reminding me of something from the new Vacationer album - kinda hectic but organised beauty hectic. |

The clips won't play now but I heard them earlier, loved them. A tiny bit in Say Something sounded like a Kate Bush song. _________________ we're really not alone, we have each other |
