Hey. I'm not sure if this will answer your questions regarding pre-orders/shipments, etc. but Norah said there were some issues. I received a few emails and forwarded them to Stacy's manager, Brandon. Here's what he said:

----------------------------------------------------------------------
"Yes you can mention TopSpin is checking into this (to shift it from Sucré a bit) as everything has been sent (100%). Some emails just might have been entered wrong or more than likely a servers spam folder caught it.

I found one that was one letter off they had emailed me about. He had just put it down wrong."

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Now back to me. I haven't had a chance to read the 40 pages of comments but... hope you guys are loving the record. I absolutely freaked out over it months ago and still am. Slow burn, lush, great dynamic, vocals, strings, drums... it's sorta insane. Hope you guys are enjoying it and making plans to see a show!

Sorry for the confusion with any of this pre-order stuff. I'm sure they'll get it worked out if it isn't already and everyone will receive their order. Thanks!

boyd

Wow, it's been so long, I forgot you had another screen name. Before Norad it was something that sounded like a tweak of a male name if I remember correctly but I'm drawing a blank. What the heck was it?!?

well... yes and no...

people who ordered the cd are getting their ship notifications, but a lot have not gotten Download codes, though the inclusion of those was something many of use weren't aware of given it was a move on the part of Sucre' to make up for the cds not being delivered on release day that was announced well after many of us has placed preorders.

But that's moot so long as the cds arrive intact, cause we can always rip the songs in whatever audio format we prefer for our computers and portable devices once it arrives. So gratification is being delayed for the whole lot of us Dinosaurs who still by cds, but couldn't afford the Red Velvet Package or vinyl. We'll live Cool

Meanwhile, I've avoided listening to the stream, but with the Springfield show video of Hiding Out posted, I've gone back and listened to it and the album version on Fb more than a handful of times and that song has really sunk its teeth into me. It's only growing my anticipation.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh Idea
I would have never came up with that. Blame it on my arriving during a prolonged lull in posts from TPFKAP. I'll always associate that screen name with Serenity (the avatar I remember the most), followed by the BSG finale one. I remember all sorts of dumb stuff like what avatars certain people had and whatnot. It's not bullet-proof total recall, but it's supposedly good if I'm to take my friends words for it whenever I bring up random crap I recall from 15 or more years ago. Oh well.

Boyd,

The entire forum is pretty much united on A Minor Bird being a gorgeous album.

It's without a doubt going to be my favorite release of the year, if not the next millennium...

Doesn't apply to me, but thanks for the update nonetheless!

I love the album. Thank goodness for the stream!

Though the problem: No preordered CD in my hands yet, and I never received a download code (email was correct, not in spam). I did get notification that it shipped last week, though.

I haven't received any notifications about my order. It's a bit ridiculous that I dropped $50 on something and still don't have it weeks after it was released. What's the point?

I know it's not anyone in the band's fault, but seriously... I wouldn't go with this order avenue again in the future. Usually when you order something online, they ship it a little ahead of time so you actually have it on release day.

I can even understand shipping it on release day and receiving it a few days later, but this? How did they not know the amount of orders they received? How can this even happen?

I even paid for expedited shipping. Sheesh.

yeah i am finally on the phone with CS as I type this.

It has been horrible.

I was even upset that I couldn't change my pre order. they said once it was in place they couldnt do anything.

that's bunk. It was a freaking pre order.
I pre order crap all the time and have never had a problem with switching.
