Scarlett. *Wipes tear*

Also, Stacy is 5 months pregnant and STILL supermodeling. Like, stop. I feel bad enough about myself as it is!

Scarlett is a nice enough name that it doesn't need a middle name. Especially not IVY. Wonder if people are being snarky or sheep (blue ivy)?

...riffing off that...

I can't help but fee that Scarlett Dupree sounds sweeter to me than Scarlett King.

Then again, that made me think of Charlotte Durpree, just because to me that evokes a combination of Chauntelle and Scarlett.

Ultimately, cause I just like nomenclature, Cassandra Scarlett King seems to flow well to me. I guess Scarlett Cassandra King works too, but it makes it sound like the child is destined to be overly sophisticated. The name Cassandra has baggage I guess?

My brain will be exploding soon with all the brand new, exciting information.

...It's sad to say but I'm probably more excited about the King baby than my own cousins but they've been picking ridiculous names so thats probably why.

I really think they should have a royal name for Scarlett, I'm not bias because its the Jubilee and I'm British but something like Catherine (best name ever *cough*) or Elizabeth would be pretty. Although the latter is an overdone name - pretty sure everyone knows or had an Elizabeth in their class at school - at least in the UK.

^ you're on to something! Scarlett Elizabeth King has a ring to it if you ask me. King is always going to sound off to me because I will see it as a masculine, thus not fitting with feminine names. Elizabeth seems to offset that effect. Regal negates regal?

I think the name also just goes with what we assume Stacy and Darren's baby will be like. Stacy is a very graceful and quite regal in her way anyway, it just so happens that she married a guy with the surname King. So Scarlett Elizabeth is kinda perfect - and not to be scoffed at because everyone who is having a baby now will go with the typical Ivy, Rose for middle names because its the current trend.

At least 3/4s of girls the same age as Stacy and I that I went to school with have kids called Lily-Rose, Lily Ivy, Rose Ivy - flowers are the 'in' thing for the young 20's it seems.

I think they've always been quite popular though?

My grandmother - Lily, her mother - also Lily, my mom's best friend forever - Fleur, my other grandmother's sister - Rose, etc.

Also, my grandmother I was closest to's middle name was Elizabeth, so that definitely gets my vote.

Although, I kind of thought the Grace suggestion sounded pretty too, especially given their faith.

They have? I never went to school with a Lily or Rose throughout my school life of the 90s and 00s - maybe its a cultural thing? A big name when I was younger was Lucy and Sophie, oh and Emma. Those were the names where you'd have a Lucy W and a Lucy P because it was super popular.

Try being a John. There were multiple times when I was one of three Johns and two Jonathans in the same classroom throughout grade school. Laughing

Didn't even think about it being a 'this side of the pond' thing!

And yes, John is quite the popular name, isn't it? Laughing

I was one of two Taras. Just saw she actually had a baby via some minor FB stalking last week. Glad it was her... Razz

I really think it must be a UK and an American thing - there were only 2 John's in my entire year (of about 100/120 pupils) and zero Jonathons. I only just met a Tara last year....or maybe I'm just living a super secluded life?

I think British people tend to pick traditional names - or they used to. It wasn't often, or ever, you'd cross paths with a Britney or even Stacy. It'd be like Louise, Jenny and Alexandra's while boys were Christopher, Jack, Matthew.

It might not be a 'across the pond' thing - it could be literally just me!
