It's Max ..and I totally agree. I really dislike Max's vocals on it. Nothing personal, I just don't think it fits well with the song. I actually enjoy Max's voice in Say Anything, but I'm not feeling it here.

Its Max. Careful, not to say that in front of Say Anything fans.

I think my favorites are "I'll be home for Christmas" and "In the Bleak of Midwinter".

i found it all to be enjoyable. wish there were some more upbeat tunes though. also, i like max and his vocals, but he really needs to use a pop filter. oh, and christie's vocals are sounding more and more like stacy.

I thought she sounded like Chauntelle at the start of In the Bleak Midwinter.

Loving In The Bleak Midwinter. Whose are the male vocals? They complement the lady quite nicely.

It's Christie's boyfriend, Reed.

Max sounds like a normal guy with a good voice... who is being silly and singing "goofy" on purpose. It took any heart out of the song completely.

And while "In the Bleak Midwinter" isn't my favorite song, the vocalists both sounded great.

This album is just confirming for me that Merriment is the best band ever.

I agree about Reed. He and Christie sound real nice together. I thoroughly enjoy his voice. I love his vocals on Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas from last year, I believe. Good stuff.

Love the songs... except Silver Bells. I had to fight myself not to turn it off. I don't think I'll ever listen to it again.

i find silver bells listenable, but i think i'm also one of the only people on here who doesn't mind max's vocals either. however, i think their rendition of white christmas suited them better than this one. i think the mix has a lot to do with it too.

-edit-

also i was hoping sucre would have something and chauntelle too, but i understand they're all busy with their own projects.

Who could sing lyrics like "ring a ling" and not sound goofy? He doesn't sound "terribad", he's not out of tune and there's even some nice harmonies in there too. Nice, fun little rendition.

He sounds goofy TO ME.
Like he's trying SUPER HARD to sound quirky.
Or maybe he just has a horrific speech impediment.

Either way, not nice on the ears. IMO.
