I dont have much. But I do have that Room Noises sampler that has the lost at sea remix on it. The smarter promo single. I just bought a combinations advanced promo cd. and am working getting one for room noises. i will post pictures once I get them all. I know some of you have quite a few collectibles. What do you have that's rare and hard to find? and most importantly...willing to sell? _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing... lots of activity in this thread! last night i got a marvelous things promo cd. once I get that, i will take pictures of what I have and show you. I am still trying to get that room noises promo (i am sure you saw it on ebay) but the person wants way too much. I messaged them saying I just got a cobinations one for 5.00, so there was no way i was paying 30 for room noises. he didn't respond. _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing... So apparently they still sent Rolling Stone a review copy even after they labeled them as 'unicorn rock.' Hmm...couldn't find the Room Noises review on their website. Forgot about the photo shoot with Tom Delonge. I think that was posted a few days after tumblr-gate. I don't know if she really thought 5 year old Combinations was their new album, or if she was really talking about The Valley or Deep Space EP. _________________ I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away. |

They took down all their old content and have reposted some stuff after the fact, and maybe they forgot to put the old date on that but... hayleyinRS wrote: The song that opens the record, "Many Funerals," makes me cry. They totally stepped it up more than a few notches for this record. So this was done just before the infidelity, which makes it entirely possible that the bands associated with each other on friendly terms at that point. Why not? In that context it would have been honest and accurate. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. What makes you think the RS article date is wrong? The only definite time marker in the article appears to be the issue # it refers to, so if you can find that out you will have your answer. _________________ I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away. |

Their site has been jacked up since they redesigned it. All the archived reviews are no long available, which is why you couldn't find the Eisley ones. It's been a couple of years and have yet to bring that content back to the public. I don't know if they have extended access for subscribers or not. What I mentioned before about then bringing back old stuff, they do that a lot and link it to new articles about said artists when it relates to current news. They are selectively pulling from the archives based on the popularity of the artist. I found out when I couldn't find any reviews of Land of Talk right when they featured the Joy Formidable, and talked about them as if they were the only band of that kind. I like the Joy Formidable but it irked me that they Snubbed Land of Talk, and then to have all their reviews gone, it just stung. For ancient articles from notable writers, they will site the date from which it was taken, but maybe they aren't being as thorough with newer stuff. I seriously doubt this was a current interview with Haley name-checking a nearly 6 year old album opening song that was partially inspired by the deaths in her current/ long term BFs (are they married???) family, citing a friendship that seems a little awkward at this point given the contentious exchanges between Chad and Max. I call Shenanigans on RS. and BOOYAH, PROOF http://onthecoverofrs.blogspot.com/2008/02/rs-1047.html Published in early, and I bet the interview was done in late summer or fall. _________________ yup, that's my name.
