Thanks for posting that video, and actually, the quality of that audio is the best i've heard of any version of that song I've seen posted (no audience noise is always a plus).

And these days Sherri sounds more like Stacy did back in the day than Stacy does. The beginning of this song comes to mind whenever I hear Christie's Sunday Morning, or vice versa.

I hear a little mandolin in there...yay! I was wondering if it was going to pop up in some new eisley stuff or sucre stuff after I saw the picture of Stacy practicing with it.

I don't even think I have the software on my computer anymore, but it would be worth it to attempt it for this as you said. Not sure how it will turn out quality wise but worth it either way.

It's the best of both worlds. All of the crackles, pops, wow and rumble of vinyl plus the hollow metallic coldness of digital!

i must say though, i'm surprised stacy's not singing it like the live version.

Sherri sang on the demo.

I know but I thought it would stay with Stacy since it went to her live. Her voice makes it sound soulful. Sherri's take is still pretty though.

@Nowhere Man it is pretty cool to have the pops on the mp3, but I probably wouldn't ever listen to an mp3 like that by choice. In this case I would since there isn't a regular mp3 version. I like to listen to my music in the hollow metallic coldness of digital. Wink

Thanks for posting that video, and actually, the quality of that audio is the best i've heard of any version of that song I've seen posted (no audience noise is always a plus).

The audio on that is actually really clear for what appears to just be a camera pointed at a record player. I'm impressed.

Sherri retweeted this. On my phone where I assume the stream is, there is just a black box. This might be a high quality version not recorded through vinyl.

EDIT

It is just a link to the same YouTube video. It showed up the next time I went to the page.

Unless drinkthewater is actually Sherri.

I guess the wording is what made me think it would be audio supplied from them subconsciously without really thinking about it.

The effort is much appreciated! Very Happy

TBH, I preferred the arrangement with Stacy singing the opening verses then trading off to Sherri, but it's a beautiful song regardless. The backing vocals come through very nicely on this recording.

Who's to say a person couldn't just use someone's phone other than their own to cover their tracks, or fabric the info about the make and model of their own??? Razz

Seriously though, since it's a relatively new user, it could be anyone, even one of us.*
