Finally got around to ordering mine today. Since I've waited this long and been away from the LC for awhile (and consequently not having head filled with constant Eisleyness) I'll get my first taste of everything on first play. Very exciting. I remember exactly where I was & what I was doing when I first played both The Valley (in the kitchen making a mango salsa) and Combinations (downstairs reclining on the couch) and hope Currents will leave a similar lasting impression. _________________ http://www.twitter.com/drstrangeblog http://www.last.fm/user/getinline I can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read. |

I'm in total fanatic mode now with this question, but.... How is Equalvision's shipping reputation? According to the preorder page, the hardcopy items could ship as early as the 21st? Do preorders usually come early through them? I just pulled out my Valley LP and am getting a bit excited at the possibility of hearing the album in just a few days. |

EV doesn't actually ship them out, MerchNow does. They did ok last time, but I think there were some packing issues with some of the prints and Shipping costs were prohibitive. Don't freak out, but here's their BBB rating: http://www.bbb.org/upstate-new-york/business-reviews/t-shirts/merchnow -llc-in-albany-ny-22001458 The actual logged complains: http://www.bbb.org/upstate-new-york/Business-Reviews/t-shirts/merchnow -llc-in-albany-ny-22001458/complaints _________________ yup, that's my name. Judging from those complaints (that I actually read all of, for some reason) it seems like most of the issues come from either people not reading or not physically having the merchandise to ship out. From personal experience, I've ordered a lot of Eisley and Say Anything stuff from them, and the only issue I've encountered so far is that my pre-order of The Valley was a few days late. Which seems to have been a common complaint. _________________ Do I even need a signature anymore? |

I recently ordered The Valley vinyl and the new 7" split and they both were shipped within 2 business days and they were packaged well. I think they are making sure to ship the preorders out early to avoid any of the problems people had last time with not getting them until several days after the release day. |

From Amazon: Editorial Reviews 2013 release, the fourth album by the Texas Pop quintet formed by four sisters and their cousin. Currents is the follow-up to their 2011 album The Valley. The album includes the first single 'Currents' as 'Drink The Water', the first song from the album to be streamed online. Go home, you're drunk. _________________ I know how I was born and I know that I have no choice. That's progress, as long as someone remembers to push 'Send' on the 28th. _________________ http://www.twitter.com/drstrangeblog http://www.last.fm/user/getinline I can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read. |
