Yeah, Real World is one of the better tracks for me. Much better than the noise that is 'Currents', 'Drink the Water', and 'Save my Soul'. |

If this album had a sub theme if it would definitely be teeth. Anyone else notice how often teeth pop up in the lyrics? Also, Currents is #39 on Itunes top 100. Anyone remember how The Valley fared? |

Also, Currents is #39 on Itunes top 100. Anyone remember how The Valley fared? Haha, I think that's mostly a Stacy thing. see: My Cup of Tea, Watch it Die. I wish Currents' liner notes specified song authors, because 99% of the time I can tell but Wicked Child has some Stacy phrasing. A co-write? It reached top 10 on the alternative charts this afternoon, so that's good. |

Anybody not receive their bundles yet? I'm in Los Angeles and haven't received mine. USPS said it would take 4-6 days but seeing pics of people on tumblr with their bundles is making me anxious. _________________ goes down easy |

Well my cd/poster came today but unlike ups, the usps didn't just throw it on my porch so they are redelivering it in a couple of days. I guess that means the free poster isn't folded. I did get the mp3 download last night though. I like the whole album 2.5 listens in so far. My favorite is definitely Drink The Water. Favoring Wicked Child, Wonder English, Currents, Blue Fish and Millstone too. Lost Enemies doesn't disappoint but I still like the demo better heh. Save My Soul reminds me of the Go Go's or something, I like it though. Also really good recording, production value, whatever. It's folded but packed in a large priority envelope, and the cd is wrapped in a manila padded mailer, and both are put in a large white mailer together. _________________ yup, that's my name. That Paste review is really excellent. Wishing I liked 'The Night Comes' more, because almost all of the critic reviews mention that one as a key track. Hoping Eisley feels proud that their first "do it yourself" record has impressed so greatly! |

After about 10 or so listens, my official declaration is, in my opinion, that Currents is the best full length they've released yet. By miles and miles. Favorite: Shelter (Do you think Darren wept like a small child when he heard it for the first time? I know I did!) Other notable tracks: Real World (baffled by the complains about this one; second favorite (the background noise is reminiscent of a New Order song I can't currently place, though I assume that's accidental), Lost Enemies, Drink the Water (the best work they've done yet, I think, despite it not being my favorite. There's just so much to it; more than I ever expected from Eisley, to be honest. Painfully obvious single choice), The Night Comes Skip: Currents (usually), Save my Soul (always) More importantly though, I cannot wait to hear these puppies live. _________________ Albert Camus wrote: Always go too far, because that's where you'll find the truth. |
