If all goes according to schedule next Friday the next chapter begins.

The last batch of projects from the extended Eisley family were all high quality releases and saw even more collaboration between everyone across the board, to great results.

What will the future hold?

I'm just hoping for something I like, tbh. No telling what direction they're going to go in as a 3-piece, so I figure there's no sense in worrying about it yet.

In the video they shared there is a snippet at the end that sounds very Room Noises/ Laughing City EP style. It was only a few seconds though, so who knows.

Will Yip does good things with folk tinged indie pop, but can do modern-ish indie rock sounds too from the production work of his in my collection.

The one thing this album will hopefully have way more of is sherri's lower register/ chest voice. She doesn't need to go T-Boz with it, but her tone when she sings from her core in a less throaty manner can be so emotionally rich and we have only heard it a few times in prominence. It's a stark & impressive contrast to her head voice.

I'm so out of expectations. I just want them to make an "Eisley" album.

It looks like Garron could possibly play a lot of 6 string guitar on this project.
Anyone remember if he has on prior albums?

I can't cite anything specifically, but he's quite skilled and has contributed before.

Cool. I don't remember if I've heard him play.

The pictures show them set up in what I thought was their library. The room that was shown in the past had light blue walls. They must be recording a lot of it direct to computer - unless they have amps and mics wired up in a separate room? Maybe they use both the library and the other room now?

There's a studio/ rehearsal room they use, but since it's a home set up, they can record anywhere they feel comfortable and the acoustics work for the sound they are getting. And if you have a wireless system for mics or from instruments to amps, you can set up the instruments anywhere within the range of the receivers. So yeah, all bets are off as far as the limits on recording set-ups.

The quality of sounds they managed to get on Deep Space and Currents is evidenced of that. The EP and Album recorded by different people and with different sets of gear but both in the same space, and I would assume the prior experience informed decisions that were made about building a studio to record the latter.

Sherri talks about the album some and mentions a 2nd Perma record.

Interesting. Christie was on a podcast recently and she said she didn't plan to tour with Eisley anymore and wanted to focus more on Merriment.

Eisley’s upcoming tour lineup will include: Sherri DuPree-Bemis (vocals, guitars), Garron DuPree (bass), Remington DuPree (drums), Elle Puckett (lead guitars, vocals) and Jedidiah Lachmann (keys).

I guess Elle will sing now.

TRACKLISTING
I’m Only Dreaming
1. Always Wrong
2. Defeatist
3. A Song for the Birds ft. Max Bemis
4. Sparking
5. My Best Friend
6. Rabbit Hole
7. Louder Than a Lion ft. Anthony Green
8. You Are Mine
9. When You Fall
10. Snowfall
11. Brightest Fire

I can't tell what the words are between Eisley and the title on the cover, or maybe I'm not supposed to?

Bill's head is going to explode. There are 5 different vinyl colors! Crazy.
