Speaking of video's, I love the graphics in the new Incubus vid. but I'm not fond of political music... please don't remind me of all the problems in the world and how much you think our country sucks. It's fair...and music is certainly a platform for spouting political ideas...but, please...Move to some village in communist China... or North Korea where the poor have to eat their young; then tell me how much our mean democracy sucks. (shakes head like Jim Carey on Mask) Back to music. Did everyone hear the raw, unedited, Cole rehearsal run thru of "Lost at Sea"? It's on yesterday's journal. I love that song so...thought you'd enjoy hearing the arrangement/tempo, etc. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Yeah, I hate most of the videos on MTV. But thats how I learnd of Eisley, so I gotta give em' credit, and speaking of Marron Five. I have their CD and Like them and I think the Video is kinda cool, and I laugh every time they play it and those flowers come up and at the beggining they call its "This Love the 'Super Clean' Version." That just makes me giggle. Anyway, it sounds like you guys were saying that they show the Eisley Video on MTV? Is that true? I hope so. |

Jon is right on. The Darkness salutes the past while making fun. Anyway..it's a refreshing alt to the travesty of modern rock...the obsessive redundancy of cookie-cutter-cash-cow-clones. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. boyd wrote: cookie-cutter-cash-cow-clones. Quality alliteration Boyd Yeah, I love you guys to death, but I still don't really like The Darkness. Music from that era is great, or at least some of it is, but that doesn't mean we oughta do it again. Music has progressed since then... Although, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... Maybe that's my problem...imitation. Oh I dunno, never you mind the bollucks, just uh, rock on ROCK N' ROLL!!! PS - I'm going to get way-laid for that. Sorry in advance folks _________________ For gooey nuggets of aimless rambling: http://www.myspace.com/malfaiteur I wrote your name in red chalk on the sidewalk in front of my house. |
