this is my thread to say thank you to eisley my life is really not pleasing me and it's really troubling me right now. but i won't go into that. but whenever i listen to your music i feel so much better no matter what is going on. it is so beautiful that it justs makes me feel good and really just lifts my spirits. to pick out a song i will say "the winter song" this is probably now tied with "lost at sea" as one of my favs. i listen to the song and it just gives me a sense of comfort inside you know? there has been no other band other than yours that i could listen to forever. i literally put my marvelous things ep in my computer in school and i just put it on repeat. it helps me focus, it relaxes me, and i enjoy it. that is a lot to say about the ep if you think about it because it is only 4 songs! i never get tired of it at all! and the laughing city is great too. i love tree tops and laughing city... the same goes for lc as mt. i think telescope eyes is awesome because i can relate it to my horrible middle school experience (as probably many people can.) i wasn't prepared is beautiful. if i had to pick one thing about your songs that i like the best i would probably say the flow of them. the voices and the lyrics and the music from the instruments is amazing. i have never loved a band so much and out of the music i believe you, the duprees (and i include jonathan) are great, hardworking people. kim and boyd i put you first because without you there would be no eisley. you guys have so much love for your kids and for us, the fans, it amazes me! it makes me jealous to see a family like yours. up here in mass there aren't families like yours. 90% of the people i know have unhappy home lives. i wish more families could be loving like yours. i have been blessed with a family that is intact but we aren't really as close as i would want us to be. i know i am still sorta new here and you don't really know me but i feel comfortable enough with you to post all of this. kim you are extremely wise and are always giving words of advise on this forum. whatever you and boyd did to these kids of yours seems to have blossomed them into little prodigies. even when you were in the physical and emotional pain of your operation and surgery you found the time to come and talk to us here. you are a model for which all moms should be created from. boyd you are the coolest. you are so hardworking. i can't believe that you still find time in between your family life and your business/studio or recording time to come on here and keep us updated EVERY DAY. and the clips you work on.... they are great. no other band i like does this for their fans! it makes me glad that i am a part of this while you are still small. it makes me feel special jonathan you are one of the best bass players i've ever heard. i always have thought of the bass guitar as the coolest instruments ever. but unfortunately i suck at playing any instrument so... but when i'm really sitting there and listening to my ep's i can hear you strummin away and it is awesome! chauntelle you are an extremely talented guitar player. you prove that a guitar can be great even when its not loud or fast. unfortunately i have not seen you guys live yet but in the boyd clips i watched you playing and it looked and sounded awesome! and as a side note i would love to hear you sing! i know its hard to be up there on stage but maybe even as background on the new full-length? weston... o weston. from what i've seen you seem like a really funny guy. and not to mention you are a great drum player. like i said with chauntelle you prove that loud and fast playing is not neccesary to sound great. i love your playing on the bridge to chorus transition during marvelous things btw. stacy and sherri. i do not listen to any other bands where girls sing because usually i am annoyed or just do not find them as good singers. but you two are awesome. awesome. awesome. you harmonize so well and you are both great musicians. stacy with your keyboards. even though you were the last to join the band your piano or keyboard playing is essential. it is one of my most favorite things about eisley. sherri, as i said earlier i love the flow of the songs, and i hear it best in lost at sea and the winter song (where i believe it's you singing, i hope or i'm gonna look dumb here) that is my favorite thing about your music so feel proud of yourself! lol and sherri you have good taste in men.. note the screenname there. hey and how could i forget christie and collin?! from what boyd and kim make you out to be you sound like you should go make your own band! and i think someone said collin likes zelda? (YOU ROCK!!) lol i don't think i need to go into christie and her pizza... and i almost forgot to say this... THIS BOARD IS AWESOME! the people here, i believe the correct term is... rock my socks off whoa i talked a lot here... i hope you take the time to read this. i love eisley so much you have even overtaken brand new... (wow trust me that is big!) i am looking forward to the full length SO MUCH!!! i love you all... and THANK YOU FOR BEING SO AWESOME!!!! love, dan P.S. EISLEY ROCKS! |

Merci beaucoup to Dan for saying what I've been meaning to say but haven't/couldn't/mightn't. I wish I had more to say...the post deserves a lot more than I'm going to end up adding; but, I hope I can get across at least how much it meant to me to have someone say all you have. speachless, ~!Matt _________________ For gooey nuggets of aimless rambling: http://www.myspace.com/malfaiteur I wrote your name in red chalk on the sidewalk in front of my house. |

is that a complement? lol thanks guys i felt like i needed to establish my thoughts here. it makes me feel so good to be a part of this fan base and i've never felt this way before about a band. the way eisley is makes me want to accomplish something in my life... even though i don't know what yet. i can not wait for you to come out here to play live. |

My own family has let me down so many times that it's not a big deal if I let them down sometimes. My wife's family is so special and successful in everything they do that it hurts me when I let them down. Kim and Boyd and the Eisleyites make me feel like extended family. The kind of family that I would never want to let down because they are such a special little part of my life. They make me want to be a better man. _________________ "Show me a sane man and I will cure him for you." - C. G. Jung |
