Alright. I've been aware of the Eisley vinyl debate for a while... Room Noises was released on a 1000 copy print on vinyl and there was much talk about releasing a 7" of Sun Feet back in the days of the New Found Glory tour...that which never came to be. Eisley seems to be a huge supporter of vinyl in general and I don't want to upset many people on this board that are well studied on vinyl recording/release (much of which Eisley's recordings (digital) wouldn't fit into traditional vinyl release). Boyd had many posts about creating artwork for a Combinations/Room Noises combo vinyl release...but with everything going on with the label, I understand why that hasn't come to be yet. I think Eisley has enough material to release future singles with a vast bank of b-sides. I do hope that the band realizes that there's an audience that collect/appreciate 45s. It's a whole world in its own right... Just something to think about with the new record in (hopefully) post-production.... |

and the 30 other songs that didn't make LP3 EDIT: also, if the album is remastered for vinyl, it should sound fine. or so i'm told. why not do a box release like what tegan and sara recently did and rerelease the old eps on vinyl too, as well as give the digital eps a physical form? _________________ Oneironaut http://www.facebook.com/ChengBand |

I fully support whoever ponies up the cash for Eisley vinyl, and those who lobby for it and prove its viability. I know I'd buy it. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

If it's for music they have the rights to, and don't have to pay to release then the cost isn't prohibitive, given a great local artist here in STL just did a kickstarter for her record: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1307165174/lets-make-a-beth-bombar a-record-on-vinyl _________________ yup, that's my name. I spent $50 on my Room Noises Vinyl, I'm definitely willing to fork over whatever this would cost (although, cheaper is always better, as far as my pockets are concerned). _________________ Taylor | @thbrogan http://inconnumag.com |

well hannah, i do have a turntable. and my eisley vinyl is open and played for sure. no sense in buying vinyl to look at it. i have all the beatles albums on vinyl too (even the vee jay introducing) and i play it too. though I do have a copy of magical mystery tour from germany that i think they transfered wrong. it sounds a little faster than my digital copy. _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing...
