This is more of a question for the Boyd-droid... I'm curious as to whether we can expect there to be lyrics in the liner notes of the full-length album. Since he's on the front lines of designing the cover and all, I'm guessing he'd probably know. Some bands don't include lyrics because (as Coldplay put it) they tend to detract from a listening experience. I'm fine with that, as long as there are lyrics on the website or wherever, so I can find out what the heck they're saying. What's the general Eisley opinion? _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I agree. What detracts from my listening experience is trying to figure out if I'm hearing a line right, and not being able to reference quickly to see if I'm changing the meaning of the song becuase I can make two or three different things from what I hear. I say the lyrics should go. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

For those who think printed lyrics detract from the listening experience, just don't read them! As for the design and everything, I'm excited to see what Boyd comes up with. My only hope is that it's a bit simpler, or at least slightly more unified than the EP covers. They were good, but much more 'EP covers' than 'LP covers'... |

lyrics? whatever the band wants. I'm with them. Probably...lyrics. I saw Jon weighed in. He doesn't weigh much though...he's so skinny. hard to git much weight out of him... let's take a vote. for stupid fun. boyd: i don't really like lyrics on cd liners. Takes away the mystery. I'd prefer to have a much improved web-based access. Liner note lyrics are so linear...so much like the answer to a cross word puzzle on the same page as the puzzle... i like to live with songs...and MAYBE, later, I go see what's behind the veil. What's the difference really; Does someone not have a computer? but, lyrics are fine too. Typography is nice. Let's use lyrics. bd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. I'm happy with lyrics. Just a few words to share: "excuse my while I kiss this guy" in Purple Haze. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |
