Mine's 1:39. (Thus the "only a verse and a chorus" bit.) Where did you get the full-length version? I don't remember it being on the site... Also, if the rumor about Chauntelle writing it is true, then darn it I want to hear some more of her stuff. It's not a bad song, and it was written how many years ago? Also also, I wonder if Weston or Jon write songs at all? Besides smooth jazz tunes, I mean. |

If any of you folks with a full-length MP3 would care to e-mail it to me, I'd be much obliged... saellys@gmail.com. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Chauntelle - 1st verse Sherri- 2nd verse Stacy - 3rd verse Chauntelle ...the part at the end. Sherri sings the word "pretender" and i believe they all sing in the choruses. Stacy was 9 years old when that was recorded. That is so, so cool. Chauntelle, sing more, dangit! _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

If I remember, very very few people had it the last time we brought this song topic up. I think Kris and 4 or so more people had it. But I'm not surprised that more have the full length now. I would kill to have the whole thing. _________________ "What's with these homies dissing my girl?" - Weezer "I think I know I mean a yes but it's all wrong, that is I think I disagree." - Beatles My Livejournal |

if chad put it up, the band might hunt him down and beat him to death. I jest, I jest. they'd find something better to do before he died. Its funny though, I have pretender on a mix cd that currently resides in my friends car, and every single last person I've played that song for has liked it. *shrug* _________________ guitarfreak217 wrote: Everyone, listen to Leigh. I won't give it to anyone because I think the band needs to post it. Just stick a disclaimer on it so no one thinks this is how you sound now! It's a really solid song. I would hope a band's best song isn't one of their first ones, and it's not like it shames the rest of the catalog. It's a bit different, but that's just how growth works. It's a nice song by a very, very young band. Come on Eisley, we're all family here... right? It can't be that bad if everyone likes it... I bet all of Britney Spears' songs are way worse. _________________ my name's carrie and i love a good sandwich so if you have a sandwich, come roll with me! i'm gonna marry the mars volta. |
