If you know who they are then you should choose your words carefully. oh, i didn't mean anything by the "cussing" — i honestly was kind of suprised it even got censored! besides, i'm not entirely sure about the whole "if you know who they are then you should choose your words carefully" bit — i treat everyone pretty much the same, no matter who they are, and i think that's the way it should be. Even if it was cheesy, parts actually sounded good. She must actually be a good singer. She is a good singer-- she's apart of Luvbeat. I know. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/karatherecluse http://www.rosewhiteboyhood.tumblr.com |

It's called autocensor. And since this is Eisley's forum, you shouldn't be surprised when people lay the smackdown if you insult someone close to the band. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I really can't tell if you're trying to claim that you didn't mean anything and make other people feel guilty for picking on you (which they're not), or if you really have no concept of the way the things you say can be interpreted. If it's the former, that's pretty pathetic, and you should take responsibility for your words. If it's the latter, I feel sorry for you. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Many people DO however, and that's why it is automatically censored--to respect those who feel offended by such words. |

patrock wrote: Maybe you should stop using cuss words and getting censored. i don't know… i don't even think about it, honestly… i just type somethin' in, and it winds up being censored! i guess i could go back and swap the word for something less "offensive", but then that just becomes self censorship, and, honestly, i don't really want to do that. would it really make a difference? i don't know… let's try it: "that was… painful. being as bad as you possibly can be isn't funny, it's just bad!" does that seem better? i don't know… honestly… all i was trying to say was that i didn't "get" this type of humor at all — that taking a song and performing it badly doesn't make it any funnier, to me. If it's the latter, I feel sorry for you. well, i guess it's the "latter"… honestly, while i do ocassionally upset people with the things i say, Laughing City is the only place on earth where it happens this often! i don't know why… i mean, reading over my post, i guess i can kind of see what people are reading into it, but it honestly never occured to me while i was writing it! anotherrandomtuesday wrote: Many people DO however, and that's why it is automatically censored--to respect those who feel offended by such words. but, who does? i think Barney could probably get away with sayin' it! well, maybe not Barney, but, you know what i mean… maybe… but, then again, this is a forum where there was an entire topic about Sherri saying "ass", so… edit: i just realized i said "i don't know" and "honestly" a million times in that post! i'm too lazy to go back and make it less redundant… |
