I like QoL enough, but it's also not one of my favorites. Unless I'm in the mood, I usually skip it.

What I really really really want them to record properly is "Lady of the Wood." I have multiple live versions on my iPod, and I listen to them over and over again in succession. I feel like it would go pretty well at the end of an EP, like they did with "Away We Go" and "192 Days."

EDIT: LULLABY!! Lullaby. I love Lullaby.

There's a studio version of Lullaby already though.

I only know of 2 versions. 1 - a live version, 2 - the version Boyd released afterwards. that one sounds more like a recorded rehearsal and is slower.

Maybe it is a rehearsal but it's recorded really well, much better than adequate. Good performance and mix, no hissing, buzzing or distortion. Most of all no people talking over it. People suck.

The version Boyd released was recorded in the studio:

If it's the same one I listened to on YouTube the other day it kinda breaks down at the end, which makes complete sense with the Boyd quote. Everyone probably didn't remember how it ended. Sometimes bands rehearse/demo in a studio, cutting something live to give everyone an idea on the track. I guess in this case everyone did not think it was strong enough at the time to pursue it further.

The one I've heard doesn't fall apart at the end. I listened to one on youtube just now and it's the same version but it's really horrible quality. Listen to it in good quality here and you can even download it:

That one's nice ...conspicuously prior to the last personal change though- . you don't even have to check the date... becomes starkly apparent within the first couple of bars... so I'm not sure its a sound that could be accurately recaptured today.

I don't want them to recapture it. I was just saying a good enough studio quality version of Lullaby already exists. That's not the case with Queen of Leaves, Lady of the Wood and other abandoned songs.
