at the least 56 mins?
too long for me.

Really? Wow.

I love long albums though. Coheed & Cambria's CDs have been 48, 69, 71, and 60 minutes. I think 45 minutes is a good time for a CD. I'm definitely not complaining about their longer albums though because they are long because the songs are epic. Haha.

I would love for Eisley to put out a 45-50 minute CD. Room Noises was almost there.

didn't the last Decemberists album have 3 songs 8 mins or longer?
i've never really wrapped my head around that album because i'm just not in the mood to always listen through those long songs.
on the other hand i like Talk Talk's Laughing Stock and it has several long songs (but i haven't listened to that in a while).

i'm sure whatever they do it will be interesting. Smile

That island song rules though. I think it's track two. RAwk.

yeah, Meloy can write some good long songs, though i get the idea it was probably seperate songs he combined later.

Billy Corgan (during SP time anyway) and Stephen Malkmus seem to have at least one long song on each of their albums.

here the last two days i've been revisiting Combinations and the title track and If You're Wondering are really blowing my mind.

i just know that the three dupree girls have enough musical talent to write long songs with good instrumental sections

I hope they get in the studio.

It's time for the masterpiece.

They have it in them and coming off the road should have them full of piss and vinegar (can we say that here?).

Look out Grammys...although they'll probably get "Best New Artist"...lol

I would love for them to somehow have the third album a mixture of their first two. Go back to their roots lyrically while keeping a new sound while ofcourse talking about their recent life and such. And more Chauntelle input would be lovely.

It would have been cool for the band to do a quick trip to the UK but I don't know whether it's worth WB/the band spending money on.

Lol. Like WB cares about Eisley.

Oh I'm so sorry.
I forgot about that commercial I just saw WB airing for Combinations.
Or that magazine ad promoting the album in Spin/Rolling Stone/Paste/Alternative Press.
Or the cross-promotion with any of WB's other media vehicles.
Or the visible displays of the album in Best Buy or Wal-Mart.
Or all the singles they pushed to the radio or MTV.
Or the great tours they put them on with bands of a similar sound, following, or target audience.

Oh no wait, none of that stuff happened, and Eisley paid for their last tour out of pocket.

So WB can "care" all they want, but unless they shell out the dough or resources to promote the band, it doesn't mean a damn thing.

It seems so early to start even thinking about Eisley recording again, but more power to them. I guess Combinations is tapped out as far as WB is concerned and the band took a pretty long break before this tour and so I guess the next step is hittin the studio.

My guess is that they are going to hook up with Coldplay and probably tour with them again.........I think.. Wink
