Roleplaying is weird. It should be left for professional actors. I had a friend in Jr. High. We sorta drifted in High School, just happened. She was obsessed with NSync, like a lot of us at the time ![]() But she took it to a new level. She pretended that she was Justin Timberlake's girlfriend. Not even as a joke, she just did it. She would come to school with rings that he bought her And if you told her she was full of it, she'd get really mad. It was weird, and sad. People care so much about people in the public They want to be them, it's sad But they don't even know the person, all is taken at surface value. The painting "Marilyn Diptich" by Andy Warhol touches on this. I think for my friend, the whole roleplaying thing was just a passing phase. I don't think it was healthy. And the real victim here is Justin Timberlake We forget that "celebrities" are real people Taking personal pictures is just wrong. This just makes me sad yuck eeeew It's like taking something from a strangers purse You just don't do it To all who are roleplaying: it's not normal it's not funny it's not healthy get professional help -cynthia |

I bet a few of the Eisley roleplayers are on this forum. _________________ Power is only pain It’s probably better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in. Okay, I get that you guys think it's weird/creepy to roleplay a celebrity. But, most of these people intend no harm to anyone. They are not all picture stealing, obsessive creeps. Keep in mind, the picture stealers represent less than a handful of these people.. and most of them have deceived other people into believing that somehow they were allowed to share the pictures of the girls. But, I don't think there's anything wrong with roleplay, PB roleplay. Which is just.. where you use a face to represent a character you have created in your own mind. I do that, and maybe it's odd but it is an effective creative outlet. So, I don't really think it's fair to just condemn everyone who does this, just because there are some people who take it to a creepy level.. |

IT'S SO CREEPY!!!! ![]() That happened to me, too. Twice on Xanga, it was the same girl who kept stealing all of my photos. Then some other girl used my photo on a SKATEBOARDING website. Which, was really strange, if not completely retarded. But breaking into someones private photobucket is just disgusting. _________________ mmmmm babypuffs. ![]() |

I don't see how pretending to be someone else is a creative outlet, sorry. Being yourself is a better way to be creative. _________________ mmmmm babypuffs. ![]() |

Well, like I said I get how people can say that celebrity roleplaying is weird. But, how can anyone say that regular roleplaying and putting a face to a character is so abnormal? It's nothing different than writing a story, except you put pictures to the characters, because as the author you get just as much into the story. |

Maybe they don't intend to hurt anyone, But they probably still do. It's not like celebrities are ficticious characters, They are real people, with real identities... In reality... Not make believe... Since when is copying someone else, expressing yourself? Copying others is stealing. Roleplaying isn't just creepy, it's fraud, it's theft. Wanna have a cool online journal? Be a cool person. Wanna have cool pictures? Take cool pictures. |

I don't like celebrity roleplay either (and have never participated in it), I'm just saying that most of these people aren't necesarily malicious, evil people or something like that.. |
