anyways, you don't what you've got until it's lost. That's all I'm sayin.

I was surprised to read that too. I don't know everyone's situations, but still. That's a rather intense thing to wish. Maybe it's warranted, though.

for me, i never wished that they would, i just thought it was going to happen. but it didnt! i am glad that my parents are still together though.

I've felt this way for years, at least ever since I could acknowledge the relationship and its faults. It seems there are more unhappy times than there are happy ones. Honestly, my dad spends more time at work, the bar and in Maine than he does in our house.

that is sincerely painful to read. No one knows how to hurt you more than family, even without trying. Man that sucks.

My parents got married at the age of 19. They're still together. 24 years, come August. They were parents at 20 and parents of three by the age of 23. My mom is a month older than my dad.

I have a great uncle who got married 2 weeks after meeting his now wife. They've been married for a really long time, too.

Awesome. Smile

I don't know how no one told me before, but one day I overheard my dad tell how his parents met and married. My grandfather was in the navy during WWII and on shore leave with his buddy. The other guy set up a double date for them and they went to lunch. My grandfather hit it off with his date and after spending the day with each other, they went and got hitched haha. Laughing They had 4 kids and were married till my grandfather died the month before I was born. Wish I could have met him haha.
