Yeah! I love anime actually. I love Cowboy bebop, Azumangah Diaoh, and Paranoia Agent in particular.

it's pronounced "chasdew"

i recently watched 3 eps of Inuyasha (sp?) in a row. I used to hate that show but now it's kind of grown on me. the dialogue gets really tedious sometimes though. I also watched some FLCL which i really liked.

Inuyasha is an atrocious anime without an ending. It has about 200 insipid episodes that are just filler and the dialogue is very annoying.

"KIKYOU! WHY DID YOU BETRAY ME!?" "BECAUSE OMG THE JEWEL OMG NORAKU AND OMG PRIESTESS AND OMG THE JEWEL AGAIN AND OMG YOU KILLED ME BUT IT WASN'T REALLY YOU BUT I STILL WANT TO KILL YOU ANYWAY BECAUSE I'M SO MEAN AND THE JEEEEWEEEELLLL!"

Kikyou is a pretty amazing character though. The only saving grace for the show.

I've never seen the slightest bit of interest in anime, Obviously we're all different but what is it that attracts you guys to it?

I enjoy the narrative spontaneity and the laboured wordplay jokes. Also, I like the coupling of mature themes with whimsical breezy humour.

aww way to make me feel bad. Confused

Mainly I really have a problem with the kids at my school who are into it. Most of them are really obnoxious.
Though I'm into music they way they're into anime, so I'm probably just as obnoxious.

Me: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW EVERY WORD TO (almost)EVERY EISLEY SONG?
Innocent Bystandard: I've never even heard of them...
Me: WHA??!?!?! Do you live under a rock?
IB: No. I have a life. [walks away]
Me: A sad pathetic one at that...

I hope I'm not obnoxious! Surprised

Don't feel sad! I just think (some) anime is the bee's knees and you and Clark are cool so I think it's a shame you guys really don't like it... but I'm only a little sulky! Smile

Some of the ones I've seen:
Ghibli Studio: My Neighbour Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Love Grave of the Fireflies (so sad Crying or Very sad), Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, Love Princess Mononoke (My favourit Ghilbi). And I really want to see Gedo Senki it's based on Ursula LeGuin's Earthsea series...but I heard that it's not faithful to the books...
Love Azumanga Daioh (I also own the manga)
Love FLCL (I also own the manga)
Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad
Love Cowboy Bebop
His and Her Circumstances Love only sometimes though
Love Honey and Clover
Genisis of Aquarion (gross)
Love Fruits Basket (Manga is so good)
Love Hellsing Love Love Love
Love Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Love Ouran High School Host Club Love Love (Own the mangas)
Kanon 2003 (Sad, but not that good)
Love The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi Love Love
Love Saikano Love Love Love (This one used up a whold box of Kleenex)

Currently watching:
Bleach
Code Geass
Love Death Note
Love Kanon 2006/7
Love Honey and Clover II
Love NANA

That's all I could think of... but I'm pretty sure there are more that I've seen...

That's quite a long list...

Some of the anime I've seen have more plot then some of the movies/tv shows that are out there. Some of course are stupid, but there are quite a few jewels out there.

Fullmetal Alchemist really sells itself short. The first few episodes are funny and a little dumb. However, the plot gets so thick and its so darn depressing. That entire show is really sad (a good thing).

The theme Bratja is also an amazing song, and it's in Russian.

P.S. Odan, I'm surprised you know about The Melancholy of Haruhi. Very Happy
