Yeah, they're really under the radar right now, but the sound is so timeless that they don't have to worry about the album being irrelevant if it takes a few months for the blogs to pick it up. I hope it won't take that long though. I have tours already set for them with other bands that are heading out rather soon... Where's that Pitchfork guy that was hanging around here? And what's that other one called again? (I really don't give a $#@! about tastemaking anymore apparently). Oh, Stereogum. And that other one... AV Club. They actually reviewed The Valley, if I remember correctly. Don't think G v. B did, but how could they not love Sucre? Especially when the band has 4 figures worth of fans at best so far. Are there tip lines?! _________________ Albert Camus wrote: Always go too far, because that's where you'll find the truth. |

I'm as far as Chemical Reaction... err, now Say Something Needless to say, and I say this with the utmost flattery in mind: St. Vincent Better Look Out, Sucre' 's Got Your Number Book that tour Tahruh! _________________ yup, that's my name. Stereogum doesn't review much. I think they do Premature Evaluations for only the biggest or most hyped albums. Paste is pretty big on Eisley usually. Absolute Punk are family friends, I think. I saw were they reviewed the Sucre show, and have had every news item but a Review. No Amazon reviews. I guess there are iTunes reviews, but I don't have it. Those are usually brief anyway. _________________ I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away. |

So this is different from where this thread is currently at, but for "Light Up" I think I figured out some of the chords. It's mostly Bb Dm Eb F Fsus2 Ebsus2, but the guitar doesn't really pluck the fifths of the chords if I'm not mistaken (actually I don't feel too confident about that). There's a little break between the verses that starts with some chord I'm too lazy to figure out because it sounds a little dissonant, but then it's Eb F. I haven't tried to figure out the second half of the song yet. Has anyone else figured out the chords to any of the songs? I'd be interested in knowing "Troubled Waters" |

Still no dl code. No response to my e-mail answering negative to their e-mail asking if I received my dl. No shipping notification e-mail either but according to the "live receipt" it has shipped and will be here tomorrow. The USPS tracking shows that it went from CA to AZ then skipped over me to Ft. Worth, TX and now it's in Montana for some reason. I know they said it would be here after the release date but why is that again? Every other time I've pre-ordered something it's come on or before the release date. I haven't gotten a customer satisfaction survery e-mail either. double check the dates. for some reason the latest destination was not always on top. also, many mail distribution centers have closed or are about to, so that will change mail traffic, too. Tyler's has or is about to. _________________ I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away. |

after two tries they said "sorry but your items are not in our warehouse at this time." again, they are thinking of the red velvet package, which I told them three times I wasn't talking about. I am talking about the cd. i got tired of it and asked if they had a phone number i could call them at. hopefully they respond to that. everytime i get a how did we do email i say negative things in hopes it gets through. but i am getting horribly frustrated. and have been from the begining. again, i know this isn't stacy's fault. but i am not happy at all with the buying of this album _________________ Wil's excellent description of me. wilsmith wrote: You're the Anti-Censorship+Topless Twitpic Parodying+Youth Group Video Directing guy that's a champion for the 1st amendment, Videogames as Art, and unrepentant file sharing... Not sure why, but the forum hasn't been working for me for the last two weeks. Just want to say that I think this record is fantastic (and well above anything Eisley has done, in my opinion.) I feel as if it was made just for me. It's got a lot of strange song structures like the electropop I've been into recently (Grimes, Chairlift) but with a more organic feel because of the way they recorded the strings and drums. Chemical Reaction and Endless Sleep yayayayaayay. And all the rest, really. _________________ |
