Lovely, just lovely. Something about it reminds me of Bat for Lashes (in a good way). _________________ Classical guitar cover of "Combinations": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkIpDhvbd2o |

I think I have most of the lyrics worked out. There are just a few bits where I think I know what she's saying, but it doesn't necessarily make sense which leads me to believe I'm hearing her wrong. Anyway, heres what I have. When We Were Young wrote: You say that you're leaving. That your hands are only dust. And the boy loves you Oh, he loves you so much. Will you trust me Like you did When We Were Young? When We Were Young. You say that you're wilting But I don't see it at all. ??? thousand things ????? Who would brace me For my painful, certain fall? When We Were Young I never had to worry. I never even cared Cause something always came my way. When We Were Young I never was repeating. ????? again, and again. Oh, something's gotta come my way. Oh, it won't be easy As you reach your final end. When our days are spent and I watch your train ??? ?????? When We Were Young I never had to worry. When We Were Young I never had to carry ???? ????????? close my eyes. _________________ |

Red parts are what I hear. Everything else looks right to me! I like the song btw. juan_diego wrote: I think I have most of the lyrics worked out. Oh, something's gotta come my way. Oh, it won't be easy As you reach your final end. When our days are spent and I watch you transcend Will you watch me with our loved ones in the sky? When We Were Young I never had to worry. When We Were Young I never had to carry. These fears are pretend. You'd save me when I close my eyes. _________________ |

Listening a few more times, I think I prefer Stacy in eisley more, but I will admit that eisley and sucre are two different musical ventures _________________ Oneironaut http://www.facebook.com/ChengBand |

About as different from Eisley as Perma is. Actually hearing Sucre makes me want to hear Perma as produced by Jeremy Larson & Darren King I am not going to judge this project one way or another until I hear more music, cause knowing this is the you lady who came up with I Could Be There For You and Ambulance I'm interested to see the tone the overall project takes. I really like Jeremy Larson's music, but even in his case, the depth of that level of production can be a little exhausting when sustained over 40+ minutes, and if anything I have confidence that they will exploit Stacy's talent for conveying different shades of emotion in her voice and songwriting. I'm hoping it's a very cinematic album that goes from earth to heaven and back again. It's Sucre after all, but if anybody else is like me, after so much sugar, I want some salt to balance it out. _________________ yup, that's my name. The strings are so beautiful when the song slows down about 1:40 , especially when she sings the word "transcend." Okay, done obsessing. _________________ www.kailahandler.bandcamp.com |

I friggin love it! I was expecting darker, moodier but I really like this too. Can't wait to hear more. StuartBuck wrote: Something about it reminds me of Bat for Lashes (in a good way). Yeah, and part of the beat is kind of like What's a Girl to Do but they were both probably inspired by Be My Baby by the Ronettes. Also Heat of the Moment by Asia has a drum part like that hehe. _________________ we're really not alone, we have each other |
