i'm going with LA, just because of the silverlake scene (midnight movies, dios, rilo kiley, etc.)
seattle and nyc are strong, but who knows?
and i'm leaving texas as texas, just because since i don't live there, i don't know which city has the "prevailing" scene.
and i'm curious how many people are saddle creek scene whores.

Tennessee has the best band but no one made that an option so I had to choose then next best southern state and not let those crazy Yanks and Left Coast Guys win.

I said NY, but there are a lot of scenes with great bands that will never see the light of day.

Texas. Hands down.

I know that Austin is a big music town and all (SXSW, hello), but I don't know of any bands that hail from there. I know a metric ton of decent bands in the Dallas area, but that is probably just because I live here. I know of one band from Houston.

I voted Portland. It's music scene is so good that I've been giving thought to moving there for a while now.

well if the question is "who would win in a battle of the bands?", no particular city would win. i mean, so many great bands came from so many different places. i could never choose!

Omaha, Nebraska. And Rilo Kiley counts for Omaha since that's where they record.

So does that make Eisley from LA?
