Why wasn't it considered for the LP? I can't remember if I read a reason before ... you just can't rely on this crapper of a memory base. (Knocks fist against skull) Maybe that's why ... I keep hitting myself in the head. So ... wha happa to the icicles hanging from our fingertips?! I miss those gumdrop villagers. _________________ If the end of the world has proper noodles I'll probably be okay with it. |

I remember it having early consideration, but never making it very far. I'm sure it has hope for the future ... as long as we keep mentioning how good and TIMELESS it is. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

their management and Rob Schnapf were never interested in it. it blows my mind that they would pass on this song for other ones. there was a version recorded by Mike Mogis during the Laughing City sessions. Sun Feet, too, i think. will these see the light of day? only time will tell (or we can bug Boyd to death) _________________ I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away. |

somebody knows a lot mr big ideas. good memory. yes....ole Mogis recorded sun feet, over the mountains, tree tops, sea king and mr pine and laughing city. trivia: over the mountains and laughing city were the only ones released. mr pine... they just don't get that song i guess... but I can't say it's the end of the song. if up to eisley, perhaps they'll give it a whirl on record 2. sun feet is really great. i'll try to push for a solid ep...not just an itunes release. but, they'll have their ideas about how to do it i'm sure. gotta go to sleep. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. i don't understand why they don't get it. that's the song that got me interested in the band. the version that is out right now is pretty good, but i just want it to get released on a bigger scale so more people can hear it. isn't it one of the few songs that has probably been played live at every concert appearance for the last two years? ah, yes. a nice ep would be good. then you could use your artwork that you made for the first lp cover. i think it's great how Radiohead will have great artwork for their ep's. i'm thinking of Airbag/How Am I Driving? that has a booklet with a questionairre and some weird short stories. _________________ I am Torgo. You know how Brand New put out a super cool Holiday EP last year? Eisley could do that...and they'd have to include Mr. Pine. It's one of their best. I figured since they played it on the Snow Patrol tour it would be on the CD...but oh well. I heart my live recordings. _________________ Just to lay with you, there's nothing that I wouldn't do (save lay my rifle down). |

Mr. Pine is still my favorite Eisley song and the one I play my friends to get them into Eisley. Its just a great song. Go with your heart on this one band, say "screw you" to the label, release it, then laugh in their face when it becomes a huge hit and a staple of Eisley's catalog. Of course you won't because you're all too nice, but Boyd might |

I thought it was cool that Ozma had some "hidden" songs on their last CD. They had MP3s on the Enhanced portion of the CD. Maybe you could sneak a few more songs in that way... _________________ Scriptozoology, a screenwriting blog .. Facebook |
