Indie refers to independent. To me, "indie" encompasses the whole "art over sales" idea, which majors can obviously not subscribe to. You hit the nail on the head. By that definition, Eisley is, was, and hopefully always will be indie. And even by other criteria, I think the term still applies. Eisley have a deeply independent spirit, and their songs are like nothing else out there.
