I'm not sure which songs they're going to release, but those four seem like the most likely candidates. I think Golly Sandra will probably be the one they get big with... it's just so dang catchy. Telescope Eyes will probably be first but only create a minor buzz (like how Jimmy Eat World put out Bleed American as a single but didn't blow up until The Middle).

Marvelous Things, because it's beautiful, showcases the bands talent, is easily related to ("dark night, hold tight, and sleep tight, my baby..."), and has a catchiness level that blows everything any four piece pop punk band ever recorded straight out of the water.

I actually have to disagree with the majority vote so far.. I think Golly Sandra, albeit a wonderously catchy song TO US, does not have the fuel to be mainstream, which is really more of a compliment than a diss... I still think Eisley will never make it BIG like Ashlee Simpson or whatever. They certiainly have a good shot at the faME of interpol or something, which i think is fitting - a band everyone knows about but that isn't on TV much or anything.

My guess is that "Telescope Eyes" will reach the most people in general, out there in radio-land... But "Golly Sandra" will attract all the people like us, who don't get into the mainstream popularity of "Telescope Eyes."

I´m very worried...
what is it about Golly Sandra that everyone likes so much???
honestly, it´s the song that I like the least. I mean, It´s not like I hate it... I just don´t like it that much...

am I sick? Sad

I guess im in the minority...
I think the obvious choice, at least for the MAINSTREAM, is telescope eyes...Albeit that most of the forum members and band members are sick of the song, I think it will catch on alot faster because its NOT that different...it doesnt showcase the bands tallent as much as Golly Sandra and Marvy things does...But it DOES peak the intrest of people torwards the band...It isnt like the songs you hear playing on the radio now but it ISNT way out there either....my guess is that it was one of the first songs we have heard and got us interested in the band...at least it was for me.
I Guess it will be like "wow that song was pretty cool...i wonder what the rest are like?" So they go out and buy the CD...because most people buy cd's because of one song (and anyone smart enough to listen to eisley will not be evil enough to pirate the songs) Then they get home...unwrap the packaging, look at the awesome cover....THEN when they least expect it.... "G...G....G...Golly Sandra"....They are SUCKED IN...no longer can they resist....Completely absorbed....Eisley scores another victim to its brilliant genious... Evil or Very Mad

If WB does their promotion well, what you will end up with is songs like Telescope Eyes and Marvelous Things on alternative radio and MTV, AND songs like I Wasn't Prepared and My Lovely on adult contemporary radio and VH-1, all at the same time.
Eisley will reach a broad audience, and will certainly sell well, be headlining their own World Tour in the Autumn, and will reach Avril and Ashlee level of stardom within a year. It all depends on what WB does.
If they don't push......few sales....no stars....who knows the future after that.
WB has been spreading the "Buzz" about them within the industry for almost 2 years now....it is now time for them to deliver.

How's that for prophecy?

i'm glad they don't fit in.

golly sandra is an amazing song, but it's just not mainstream material. a lot of this stuff isn't mainstream. i've said this before, though. these guys (and girls) could do a sigur ros or radiohead type thing.

Marvelous Things or I Wasn't Prepared are the most "main stream" songs listed above.

WB would have the most success in promoting those two songs to radio. Very Happy
