Anyone else wondering why Eisley looks so disaffected in their pictures lately? It is as if the cameraperson drags out the photoshoot until they are all pissed off and ready to commit suicide, then he takes a picture and uses that one. You'd think they were from Seattle. No? It reminds me of the "Family Guy" episode when Peter finds out he is part African-American, and he says he doesn't know how to be black, except for not smiling in pictures. it's ok, i noticed it too, it's been a slow progression for a while. between the absolute hell they went through last year and the fact that they're a "big" band now..it just comes out like this, it sucks, i miss their smiles, but if you talk to them in person they smile a plenty... _________________ welcome to the no pants club boone |

jdstories wrote: What is "emo"? Real quick... Emo= Emotional. It's a genre of music often slower and more... well, emotional. heh. This kind of music is often associated with breaking up, or being in love. The raw, vulnerable kind of emotion. A couple Emo bands would be Dashboard Confessional, um... Probably even Fugazi and Interpol. There are other kinds of emo, but go ahead and PM me if you'd like and I can tell you more. _________________ Tired eyes and savvy smiles, Quiet nights and a hundred miles Away... -- Everyone wants to deviate from the norm. I think the word emo sucks. It makes me think of heart broken kids that cry all day untill they drown the world in their rain of tears _________________ I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour I'll be there for you, like I been there before I'll be there for you, CAUSE I WANT BACK MY SHOE |

I personally think that 'emo' is more intelligent than that, but that may just be me. Then again, anything is more intelligent than pop. hehe... Anywho, since this is the Eisley section of the board... I don't think Eisley is emo, or angsty, or hardcore, or pop, or anything like that. I can't actually find a genre that completely fits them. They're like an amalgum of all things cool and sacred. And their sound might change as they grow into their huge musical shoes. Who knows. _________________ Tired eyes and savvy smiles, Quiet nights and a hundred miles Away... -- Everyone wants to deviate from the norm. I am BeastieEastie's Hero. |
