Last night at The Parish was truly the best I have felt in at least two years, and I was greatly saddened when the show finally ended. It was one of those times that you know that you had something truly great and that it has left you.
But, the crowd was amazing. I think it would be great for Eisely to come back and play an open air venue like Zilker Park in March. I just feel like it would have been better with a little sunshine. Also, it seemed short. Barely over an hour. Not enough time with such lovely songs and people.
I think Eisley should live in Austin.

Mmmmmhmmmm....I'd love to see them at The Backyard, with the trees and the moon in the background. Lovely.

the eisley kids should most definately play austin again. it'd be great to see them outside with the sunshine gleaming on their oh-so-gorgeous faces. tickets could be $50 and i'd still buy one, maybe several. i wish i could get my friends to go but they're all metal kids and they hate this music. sad, huh? eisley already has a nice chunk of austin loving them and after monday's show, i'm sure they're very aware of this. maybe if we keep posting here for them to come back and maybe keep bugging boyd, we can get them to come back. everybody, join the crusade! let's get eisley back in austin! who's with me!?!?

i love you all!

Bzdnika I am with you, for sure. I'd love nothing more than to have Eisley play in Austin again and outdoors. I loved seeing them at The Parish so much I seriously began considering driving to Dallas just to catch their show on the 18th, but I really cannot be so frivolous with my money. Do you have any ideas about how should we go about petitioning Boyd? I don't want to be so annoying he tunes us out.
Also, I know how you feel. I don't have any friends in Austin who likes Eisley enough to go see them. I just don't understand why.

I have to say that I am disturbed that so many people were not able to make it to Eisley's show last Monday. I can understand that people have monetary issues, but it just makes me sad for them all. I had such a wonderful time that the knowledge that so many were denied that experience makes me glum. Perhaps if they can do an outdoor show at a bigger venue they can lower their ticket prices. No one should be denied such sweetness.

that is pretty sad, i myself was barely able to scrape up enough funds for the concert and a cd, but i'm a poor mexican. if there are any upcoming shows and you really need money, i wouldn't mind donating some so's that more people can see eisley. but that only goes for austin shows, if they ever come back. and as for the petitioning thing, i'm going to see if i can talk to some clubs and venues and bug the hell out of them to get eisley. not to make them sound greedy or anything, but i'm sure if they're getting paid good they'll go anywhere, and if they had a larger venue at austin, there's no doubt in my mind that they'd sell out...again! if you read this boyd, come to austin, make some money, make a bunch of kids really happy!

i love you all!

You are too nice. I think their chances of coming back, to Austin, are good.

I'm indigent also, and probably will be for awhile. I plan to save money for their tour with NFG. I think they're coming around here. I'm gonna try to make it to two shows on that tour. As for talking to the clubs that's a good idea. Especially venues such as Stubbs Barbeque, Emo's, Backyard, Black Cat Lounge..there's so many. Who knows, maybe one day they'll end up playing at Austin Music Hall!

I'll take the Parish everytime, you're going to be hard pressed to find a better sounding room in Austin

indigent.. i don't use that word enough.

the parish does sound pretty good. emo's is about as bad as it gets, but i like that shows there are cheap. strangely, what used to be lucy's and is now the chugging monkey (ugh) was probably the best live sound i've heard in austin.

black cat lounge is dead. sadness... i generally refuse to go to emo's, but i'd be forced to go if eisley was there.
