I hate to say it. I really, really hate to say it, but I almost hope they do not win. Few things terrify me as much as Eisley getting TOO big. If it ever happens though, I pray Boyd and Kim can keep them together. History has shown us that a lot of baggage comes with success. i don't think eisley will ever lose touch with their fans. meeting them in person gave me the impression that they are more thankful to us than we are to them. but that is just this person's humble opinion. _________________ "You gotta think about a'starvin people gotta eat sand to survive. That's probably not gonna happen with this album at least, my real hope is that it at least goes gold, good god let it at least go gold...they totally deserve/need that _________________ welcome to the no pants club boone |

The only baggage that comes with success is selfish fans who can't handle not being the only ones that know about something, and their inability to handle change or accept new outlooks. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

Really? That's the only baggage that comes with success? Forgive me, but I just find that a little hard to believe. We all love Eisley and wish them the best, including jdstories. But I know exactly how he feels--there are times I wish everyone on the forum could move to Tyler and support the band ourselves by going to shows every week or so, like an Eisley commune or something. That part of me doesn't want Eisley to gain massive success, because it will almost certainly (despite great effort on the part of Boyd and the rest) distance them from us. Call me selfish or unable to accept a new outlook; I just don't like the way some of my other favorite bands have grown apart from their fans by necessity. Maybe I'm just jaded from having to battle fratboys and eBay brokers for U2 tickets last week. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |
