 Post subject: My ONE criticism of Room NoisesPosted: Tue Feb 08, 2005 10:26 am 
The length of each song. If this is old news, I apologize. Every song is at least 3 minutes, and not one of them goes over 3:38(At least according to my windows media player). Although they are all good songs, I found myself predicting whenever the song was gonna end. Not that there's anything wrong with 3 minute songs, but 12 of them in a row is pushing it. I woulda liked it if they mixed it up a little more. Cream away. |

I think as song shoudl be as long as it winds up. Whether they are 90 seconds long or 5 minutes long. the cure - boys don't cry u2 - MLK, Desire, In God's country, the ramones - sheena is a punk rocker, do you wanna dance (1:55!), uh..most the rest of their amazing catalog elliott smith - somebody that i used to know, say yes, amity pink floyd - eclipse (very out of context, but its a chunk, its a track) jimi - castles made of sand. all these are under 3 minutes. song length means nothing. _________________ knives don't have your back. |

I'm not saying the songs are bad, I just said I don't like how each song is about the same length. I felt it kinda got repetitious. |

Oooops, I have not paid close attention to the length of each song. I'll have to listen with a stop watch next time since my computer is not equipped for my desired listening experience.
