Yes, I was just the other day watching Greenday over here in the great wilderness of the UK. NFG supported them and having never heard them before I was somewhat suprised at how very different they are to Eisley, a stark contrast not only in genre but I'm guessing in life styles. every other lyric was f@!k or something just as harsh. well it got me wondering why eisley were touring with them? maybe its not so strange in the US but I cant remember ever going to see two bands at a gig with such contrast as NFG and Eisley.

incidently i didnt think much of NFG but Greenday were much enjoyed.

just wondering peoples opinions on this.

I'm guessing it's partly a label thing, and I think Boyd said that their singer maybe even requested that Eisley be their supporting band. Personally, I've heard only a song or two of theirs, and wish to never have to hear them again. It'd be nice if Eisley could open for someone much more fitting, but oh well... Confused

Oh man...I feel like the only person in the forum who likes NFG. Bummer. I also like Greenday. And I LOVE Eisley. I really do like all kinds of music. Anyway, NFG only swears when they talk. Thats why I only consern myself with their music. Im sure they are nice guys too. Oh well, Ill see what happens. Im stoked for the NFG/Eisley tour though. I cant way! They are two of my favorite bands.

Yea, NFG can better keep their profanity to themselves when I'm at the show.

NFG swore tons when I saw them at this combined concert thing last summer. It was really annoying.
They seemed nice, and funny/ fun loving. But just the type who don't really care or think it's bad to use the F word every other second.
Personally I think it just sounds stupid and inarticulate.

I'll be seeing Eisley when they open for NFG, but after Eisley's set hopefully I'll get some stuff signed and be out of there before NFG even gets on.

I absolutely hate New Found Glory - Ugh, the singer's voice - its so NASALLY! New Found Glory is just awful. I like Green Day, though...but I hate NFG. And, of course, we all lurve Eisley!

I am not familiar with NFG, but let us remember that the message is more important than how it is conveyed.

NFG does NOT swear in their music, only when they talk.

The member of NFG that requested Eisley tour with them is Chad Gilbert the lead guitarist. Chad is straight-edge and definitley not as genrous with curse words as other members of the band. But really I see the Eisley kids also getting along extremely well with Cyrus (Drummer) and even Jordan (Singer) and Steve (2nd Guiatrist).

I also enjoy NFG quite a bit, though I am a bigger fan of their older stuff and not so much the recent CD. I am really looking forward to this tour to finally see NFG and Eisley is like killing 2 birds with one stone so to speak.

So far in Eisley's history, they've received some fantastic response when they tour with bands that have radically different styles. Both Coldplay and Snow Patrol have the same basic melodic rock going on, and when Eisley opened for them the reaction wasn't nearly as good as when they toured with Brand New. So this pairing probably has a lot to do with the publicity Eisley will get from it as well--but more important is the fact that Eisley and NFG share some mutual friends, and New Found Glory was practically begging for Eisley to tour with them. Or so I've heard.

I myself don't plan to stay for NFG's set, just as I didn't stay for Snow Patrol. But I respect them for their love of Eisley, though I don't enjoy their music much.
