I know you guys will be in Chicago June 9th, and it really sucks that I'm going to miss it because I'm still in Austria, but if you guys have time you can visit some hip places in Chicago: 1. Second City Theatre: Like half the people who's ever been on Saturday Night live, performed here right before they got on SNL. Such people being Bill Murry, Mike Meyers, Chris Farley, Amy Poehler. Its always funny. 2. Chesecake Factory: Good food, a little expensive but good. Its located at the base of the John Hancock building. (it's the 2nd largest building in the windy city) 3.Pizzeria Uno: A good place to get orginal Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. 4. Wrigely Field: Need I say more. One of 2 of the only orignal ballparks left. (the other is Fenway in Boston). Go see the cubs, i think they're doing good this year, and you can pay homage to the Harry Carrey statue outside the stadium when the game is over. 5. North Beach: Good place to go swimming on lake michagan, right off of Lake Shore Drive. Has a beautiful view of the skyline. Well I know that's a lot. And I don't really know how much time you guys have there, but its a great city, and I hope you enjoy it there. -Nate- _________________ "Fame is lust to be loved, and fortune is to live off the fat of the land" - Lee Bozeman "Throw your home work on to the fire, and go out and find the one that you love." -Morrissey |

Pizzeria Uno is indeed quite good, but Giordano's would have to get my recommendation as the best deep dish pizza in Chicago, and I believe it's gotten such awards (even top 10 in America, I believe). Of course given the band's current schedule, it doesn't seem they have a lot of time for sightseeing or sighteating. _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |

Giodano's is good too, either way, your mouths and stomachs will be happy. And about winning an award for being in the top ten; who is the lucky pig who gets to dine at the most tastey resturants in the country, and rate which one is more amazing then the other? And how many resturants does this guy go to, to judge between? And you know he always eats free and gets the best service because every resturant wants to win the award. I think i've just found my calling. Anybody out there know someone in the resturant awards giving business? _________________ "Fame is lust to be loved, and fortune is to live off the fat of the land" - Lee Bozeman "Throw your home work on to the fire, and go out and find the one that you love." -Morrissey |

haha, yes, that would be an awesome job. Just about as awesome as being a video game tester. Better yet - video game tester by day, restaurant rater by night. Sweetness. _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |

Hi, i got home from the chicago show a few hours ago. chicago is a cool city, i've lived here all my life, 20 years. hehe. Deep dish pizza is the best, there are so many great places to find pizza (and food in general) here! I go downtown all the time, but I still feel like a tourist sometimes, there's just so much to see/do!! I went to see the Cubs play last sunday, but they lost :p |

Yeah, Strange Cargo by Wrigleyville is pretty expensive for a thrift store. I shop there all the time. But this is what I heard they do: tell people to go find certain kinds of clothes, buy them for like cheap prices, and take them back to Strange Cargo where they jack everything up. Oh well. *shrugs* If Eisley is still in Chicago (posting this day after Chicago concert), check out all the places on Clark and Belmont such as the Alley, the Army Surplus store, and others. Great places to eat like other people mentioned. _________________ "What's with these homies dissing my girl?" - Weezer "I think I know I mean a yes but it's all wrong, that is I think I disagree." - Beatles My Livejournal |
