Sounds pretty interesting. Never heard of a contest like this. Kinda cool. Not real sure how it works though. How does WB "verify" for sure who you are? What's stopping me (not that I would) from telling WB that the guy in the pic is me? Here's what Boyd said in his "column" if you missed it: boyd wrote: That thing on the front page
Sorta cool. Chad will come out (i think) sometime during Eisley's set and shoot the crowd. No, with a camera. I download his pic, and upload it to eisley's "myspace" site (main pic). It'll be of ONE person. If that person goes to eisley's myspace, and verify's it was them with WB, they'll get some free swag from both bands... because, remember, nfg's fans will prolly be up front. right? i dunno. Anyway... it's just a thi whatever ng... a way to build relationship between the bands, the fans, etc.... I guess so, he'd have to get up pretty darn close to just get one person in the frame and I'm pretty sure the person who had their pic taken isn't supposed to know it was them. Something tells me they'll mention it during the show and then give out the stickers with the website on it so you'll have to check to actually find out if the photo was of you. |

I guess I get to crop in on one great face... so, i can crop in on all of my friends... ha ha!!! But, do i pick a girl one night and a guy the next night? Do I pick a beautiful person or a geeky person? Do I look for green martians and favor them? But that isn't right. He can just hold the camera up and shoot. Then when you crop you can just use the person who is in the middle of the pic. Of course you might have to use a person in the front, it might be hard to get more than a head shot from someone lost in the crowd. |

I suggest darts. number the faces, get someone from the band (or anyone) to organize the numbers on a dartboard or something (without letting them see who the numbers belong to) and throw with your eyes closed. you could also throw numbers into a paper bag, but that wouldn't be as for OR as dangerous. Live on the edge Boyd, it'll invariably make for a good story at some point in the tour. "oh no! he got my neck! he missed the board and got my neck!"
