I am getting an Eisley CD sent to me, because I wanted to help some one out on their paper. I should get it in the next few days I suppose. But this will be the first real CD that I will get, as opposed to just downloading it all the time. Umm do you know where I could get ahold of the rest of their CDs. Man I sound like a n00b |

Man I sound like a n00b What an awfully nice person to do something like that for you. I'll bet he mailed it out today... so you can probably expect it by Monday Amazon.com is where I got my Laughing City EP. And the other day I finally saw a copy at Hastings in Lake Jackson... but that's nowhere near you. As far as the EP2 goes... if you look at page 3 of this thread: http://www.eisley.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1163 There's some information about how to get your hands on it. Look for Kimbrtones's post. It's about halfway down the page. _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |

I wish I would have responded to his homework post so I could get my hands on a CD of Eisley live. In all seriousness, I hope the quality of the CD meets your expectations. I think it's good considering it was made by a guy holding a recorder. But I have little else to compare it to... I don't know how fan-made bootlegs typically sound. I only have one other (a Ben Folds taping) and that recording is exceptional. So yeah. I'll take this opportunity to thank Clint Ryan for getting me a copy of the CD. He had another show as well... but I didn't take that offer. Wish I had. Oh well. _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |

Well, thanks again (for the 100th time) for all your help. As part of our assignment we had to bring in examples of the things people mentioned as their favorites. I took some Radiohead CDs and also decided to make a CD with songs by most of the bands you guys listed. Since I wasn't familiar with some of them... I used the All Music Guide to help me pick albums and songs. This is the CD I came up with: Let Down - Radiohead Everything in its Right Place - Radiohead Yellow - Coldplay I Wasn't Prepared - Eisley Hot in Herre - Nelly Bump, Bump, Bump - B2K Gravity Rides Everything - Modest Mouse 'Round Midnight - Miles Davis Quintet Ana's Song - Silverchair 1979 -Smashing Pumpkins Inspire - Cave In Colorado - Engine Down Ghost Man on Third - Taking Back Sunday (Track 1) - Sigur Ros As it turns out, our genius professor didn't make arrangements to bring a CD player to class. It wouldn't have mattered anyway since we didn't have time to show any examples. But now I have this interesting CD. _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |

I know absolutely nothing about Modest Mouse (although I've heard many people mention them). I would have gotten song suggestions but I decided to make the CD late the night before class. For Radiohead, Coldplay, Eisley, Silverchair, and Smashing Pumpkins I chose songs that I liked or have been popular. The Nelly choice seemed obvious. And my brother told me that the B2K song was popular. Other than that... I just picked stuff. _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |
