Ok the truth is well I was wrong the reason i asked that was that I wanted to know is is Eisley going to reject the Christian Scene all together the truth is I could less bout them reciving Dove nominations or being in ccm magazine those things are not important but what if they had a song crossover to Christian charts or what if they were ask to play a Christian Club would they shun it like Evanescence did or emrace it like 12 Stones did but it has gotten out of hand I did this all wrong and I'm sorry I feel like I forced my beliefs and that is not what I do

Your question is of course best answered by the Band. But i feel i can give you an answer similar to what the band will say when they answer you.
I don't believe they would shun any opportunity to share their music.
I don't think it matters to the band whether a club is a _______ club, or if they have a ________ music hit or not. (fill in the blanks however you would like).
I think the band would be very happy their music was reaching people, however it reaches them.

I'm still confused as to whether the kids of Eisley are Christian or not. It seems as if that question itself has been avoided. People keep saying that Eisley believes in God, is part of the church...well...care to elaborate? But then I didn't read the thread of which you speak, so maybe this has already been addressed.

The members of Eisley are most definately Christians. Their music , however, is not, and in my opinion, has never been, "contemporary christian music".
Eisley grew up in and around a "christian music scene", playing in clubs that predominantly featured "christian music bands".
They were rejected by Christian Music Record Labels, who shyed away, told Eisley their music wasn't "christian enough" to sign them, and suggested they approach the "Normal Record Labels" instead.
Of course they did, and are now signed to Warner Music.
I personally would state it like this: Eisley's music is not "christian music", but instead, it is "good rock music that happens to be made by people who have Christian religious beliefs."
Most importantly, i think NONE OF THIS MATTERS. If you like Eisley, then listen....and if not, then DON'T listen..

Read "Addicted to Mediocrity: 20th Century Christians and the Arts" by Francis Schaeffer as well as "Roaring Lambs" by Bob Briner, and finally "At the Crossroads" by Charlie Peacock.

I've read the first two, they are both fabulous. They gave me a good perspective on music.. or, at least helped me understand (and word) my thoughts on music. The third is on my list to read, but I'm sure it is great, too.. I have a lot of respect for Charlie Peacock and his work.

For an insight into the current state of the "Christian Music Market", including a little about the censorship tactics imposed onto artists by it, go here and read this great article. It is long, but read it all, it is very interesting. http://www.grammy.com/features/1009_christianmusic.html

hey guys, this conversation got ended in one thread. we don't need to keep it going. no one is going to agree on something we all feel so strongly about. so lets drop it. the thread was for an apology, which i think we all should do, not turn it into another "discussion" about all of this. none of us are the band, and that's the bottom line.

the end.

If I feel like discussing it, I'm going to. I don't see how this is hurting anyone. It's not like we're saying one religion is better than another or anything like that so I don't really see what the problem is.
