yeah i noticed that too... a lot of drummers record parts of songs separately, even on different drum kits. Like for example they'll lay down the verse, chorus, and bridge parts all separately. Im guessing thats what happened, and they wanted to make the chorus sound different than the verses with a different drum set. OOOOOOR they just EQ-ed the chorus snare part differently. I dont know, Im just trying to sound smart Smile

that's pretty observant. I'm a guitarist, so I tend to just notice the guitar in songs lol...

i'll listen to that in a few mins...

but yeh, maybe Weston changed from sticks to hot rods (or brushes) or something really swiftly; it can be done.

maybe the other theories are more plausible.

I think the drum parts were recorded separately. Or he could have had a second snare set up.

Tone sounds the same to me.....

Every other snare hit in the chorus is in sync with the tambourine....maybe you hear that??

it does sound slightly higher. however this may be cus he may have hit it harder. sounds can change dependant on the rate you hit something.

I can understand not being able to differentiate between two different drums, but mistaking a piano for a guitar? Haha.. Im totally kidding. As long as you like the music, it's all good. Smile

maybe when guitar get played with effect or with harmonic...and such..it could sound like a keyboard...remember it's a keyboard not a piano..but it's possible for piano too to sound like a guitar..eh...guitar is the one who could sound like a piano..
bout the drums' sound difference..yeah i noticed it...but it was more like a tambourine instead of a drum cymbals on the Verse part..

The snare in the verse seemed to sound a bit "looser" (the sound trails off longer) and a little darker... I suppose it could have just been the cymbals, also.
