Hey Everyone, well, it all happened so suddenly, it's funny sometimes how things fall into place when you least expect it. My boss at work gave me an extra day off, allowing a 4-day Holiday weekend, my friend Erika wanted me to come to Portland for a visit, Eisley was playing in Bend (3 hour drive from Portland), and America West airlines had a really groovy last-minute Hoilday Travel airfare price. Next thing you know, i'm high in the moutains of Central Oregon, watching Eisley play. It was rainy and kinda cold. Eisley played 6 songs and sounded GREAT through the big sound system. It was so nice to see them in a big venue, i had never seen them that way before! The highlight of the show for me? Marvelous Things..... it's so mezmerizing....Stacy's voice.....wow! They had a really tight schedule, but even so, they still took a few minutes afterwards to say hello and meet fans, including myself and my friend Erika, who was really impressed, and had been anxious to see them perform ever since i sent her an EP2 several months ago! I want to publicly thank Boyd and the Band for taking time to say hello ...thank you  Quite a few other people were coming up and telling the band how impressed they were....i am so excited that Eisley is touching people with their music!
Hey all you Texas fans....i think it is easy for us to forget how lucky we are to be able to see them so often around Dallas...we should be more thankful. We are truly lucky. If any of you get the chance to go see them on this tour, i HIGHLY recommend it!! Go see them if you can!! Kyle |

Oregon was awesome... well, Bend was awesome...we didn't see much else...well, that amphitheatre was awesome....we didn't see much else.... Anyway, everyone was super nice in Bend...well, at least all those stage hands were - which were the only Oregonians I met... It was great to see Kyle and Erika there, but the saddest thing I've ever done was: our friend Sue and a one of her friends drove all the way to Bend to see the show; I was supposed to put them on the guest list, but...it had been a long time since I had checked email; So my stupid brain forgot.. yes. straight out - forgot. I was disoriented...out on the road....from town to town....driving, posting, working...etc. She tried to call the cell phone but none of our cells picked it up... When I found out, I teared up I was so upset that I had done this to our good friend. They had to watch the show from outside the fence. We never saw her...and drove away that night never realizing what a moron I was. ok. that's my silly story. sorry Sue. (she forgave me and now it's a big joke) |
