deaR everYone and eisley most eSPECIALly! my name is molly, and i am living now in new york. i am a modern dancer, and am from austin.. i am just now beginning to get a performance evening of my own together, and it is the first time i have attempted such a large and lovely project of my own! i am writing because i adore eisley's music, and have latched particularly onto one song: treetops. i heard it and immediately the mind went a-racing with ideas for a duet. i was wondering if it might be possible to use this piece for a work with another dancer in january in austin? if no, i will go another direction, but regardless, i hope everyone is well and i hope to hear back from anybody.. i am happy to have finally registered with the band whose video for 'marvelous things' sent me looking for more. thank you for all the niceties and glorious music______moLLy m* _________________ (....And then, the smiLey eYes.......] |

I would suggest you use the Private Message feature on this forum to send a message to Boyd. That's Boyd DuPree, Eisley's tour manager, webmaster, and 4/5s dad. He usually has all the answers, and when he doesn't he knows who ask. Welcome to the forum, by the way! And congratulations on your dance project. Keep us posted on how the "Tree Tops" one turns out. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Some people think the laughing city forum has replaced Disney World as the happiest place on earth. They're probably right. If you have any questions, please ask. If you come back for a performance in Austin, please post it in the General section of the forum so we can go see you perform. Yeah, definately give us a heads up about the performance. That would be neat. |

You can use it if you or the place you preform it at is a member of ascap. Thats for live if you plan on videotaping and distributing then you get into copyright which is a pain. I dont know if this is the answer for what you need so I would still ask Boyd. www.copyright.gov www.ascap.com |
