Didn't see this mentioned anywhere yet. Maybe I missed it, so if this is a repeat...sorry Eisley's picture is in the recent(?) issue of D magazine (Dallas Magazine). It's the issue w/ the 100 most expensive homes in Dallas on the cover. The pic is the one from the back cover of the Laughing City cd, but in COLOR. There's a little blurb about the band also. just thought you'd like to know... You can pick up D magazine at bookstores and most grocery stores in the Dallas area. Don't know how far out from Dallas you can get it, though. And I don't know if that issue is still out there... I think this was what they refer to as a "phoner". (phone interview...) I remember Chauntelle telling me about this one: http://www.dmagazine.com//article.asp?articleid=556 |

I like what Chauntelle's full quote was, which ended by saying, "that's just not my style." Funny...I talked with some old friends yesterday that now live in LA. We were talking about the misquotes and how frustrating that is. She made the point, "they aren't trained journalist anymore, they're trained sensationalist." Well said. However, the press has been overall, pretty kind to EISLEY. The only thing is, they keep harping on the homeschool, Christianity, and "love their folks" thing, trying, I believe, to make them look like dorks, and discredit them. I'll be glad when their music finally pushes past all of that, and wins people over on that basis. I'm really proud of the way my kid's have taken things so far. Someone asked them yesterday, "how do you all not just hate each other?" We all laughed, but then I realized that that is what is suppose to be the "norm". I'm blessed |

Post subject: the amazing family that you are...:)and jon is a part too...
Posted: Mon Jul 07, 2003 3:24 pm HEy! I understand how that can be frustrating, and how all the press keeps harping on all that, but that is part of the magic that is Eisley, part of the magic that is The duprees in general! People look at your family, and they just don't get it, they don't understand how you can not get sick of each other, and how there can't be something wrong with these amazingly talented kids! Surely there is something wrong with them right??? ( from a media standpoint) but then they look, and they can't find anything, but how close they are, how much they love each other, and God for that matter, and can finish each other sentences sometimes, and it's almost haunting! We have always known it! I'm glad that the world is taking notice, and I'm glad to be able to say that we knew you all first, and loved you all first! I loved the part in the Filter article, about "wanting to go back and ask your parents for a do over" or however the the interviewer said it. You guys are so Blessed! You are showing the World what family should be! and that is amazing!!! I love ya'll! Dannell <>< _________________ sometimes i write in here... http://www.xanga.com/dpwrchick |
