I couldn't pull off the straight lines like sherri can....I get too nervous when I really "try" to draw....

Well, Sherri started somewhere, too. The key to good drawing is to draw a lot. Learn how people draw like they do. It helps to draw like other people, too. Some might call this ripping off, but it's not really. You don't learn how to make a house on your own knowledge, do you? You learn how it's done and then you apply your own flair as an architect when you have that down. Just make sure to put the emphasis on learning the nuances of the style, and not ripping it off. Your style will come through.

Aww, you're welcome. It's ok. Say hi any time you want. Smile

Another thing, Shaiwase, just keep darwing. And share. Being open is vital. It took me a while to realize that. When I started showing other people my work, I rapidly improved from input and from the support I received. Confidence counts for a lot.

hmm... I dunno about posting it.

It's really Sherri inspired lately, since I love the way she draws... and I don't want people to be all "aggh copier copier mcgee!!".

Maybe I will though. I dunno.

ok...well, here is one I just did a while ago.

It's called "geetar"...lol.

I do it in a lined notebook because I don't have any cool drawing stuff. Just a bic ink pen, and an old journal... Rolling Eyes

Cool, I like it! Very sparse lineword to make a rich picture. And I like the signature. Smile

Reminds me of Salamander Dream artist Hope Larson (on www.secretfriendsociety.com)

Keep in mind, everyone has their own style in which they draw. As far as Sherri's art and drawings go, I do not draw at all like her, but I still consider myself a great drawer (Believe me, I have no ego!).

Every artist is unique and has their own way of doing things. If they didn't, life would suck. EVERYTHING WOULD BE THE SAME!

I can't think of anything to say that Jamie hasn't already. But yeah - draw, draw, draw and you'll get better. Simple as that. And yeah, I'm diggin the geetar. Wink
